Probably the only value bet as Derry bit of unknown entity this year...

Rovers at almost 4/1 must be worth a look also..no matter what side Rovers put out Dublin derbys are always tight...

Shelbourne v Shamrock Rovers Home 13/20

St. Patricks v Derry City Draw 9/4

Waterford v Drogheda Home 23/20

Longford Town v Bohemians Away 5/4

Derry's ods are great. Decent odds on Longford to win at home too...

Good odds on the draw between Shels and Rovers too.

Have Rovers done any pre-season stuff?

I'd say they'll be lucky to field a team of adults this season after losing half their first XI from last year.

Signed a couple recently to make them a bit stronger. If Noel Mooney hadn't have signed they would have been in huge trouble. As it is I reckon they'll struggle and I think its between them and Waterford for the drop

rovers are as good if not better than they were last season IMO - time will prove this right - the consternation in their ranks was in the transfer of two players to Bohs, in the cold light of day and analysed by neutrals these two players were largely ineffective last season - they wont accept it but tis true

We'll be having a pint at the end of the season after a game where Set Piece secure they're coveted mid-table position and I'll remind you of this. You no doubt will have some excuse for why Rovers are in the play-offs.

well in a ten team league theres precious little in it between mid table security and a play off spot - all I'm saying is they wont be relegated - they still have a good premier div defence - nothing great but more than enuff to survive - I'm not sayin they'll win the league or anythin

I have to say I think Rovers will be safe enough this year with only one going down I think that is to their benefit this year, Buckley still has some good players. they have the option of loaness and I think that is where Buckley will gain a few players.

Yeah Rovers will be tight at thre back again but they almost lost their whole midfield & attack from last year. I know can be argued some weren't in team every week & yes 1 down gonna help them....

City v Home Farm - Home Win 2/5
Shel$ v Rovers - Home Win 4/6
Pats V Derry - Draw 9/4
Waterford v Drogs - Draw 9/4
Longford v Bohs - Draw 9/4

Extra draws plump up odds nicely.

I got City at 7/2 to win the league with Paddy Power. Anyone get any better odds anywhere else?

I actually have 2 yo's on it ;)

Those appear to be the odds everywhere.
Not much really when you think of it.
You might get better value by putting City to win with J O'Flynn to be top scorer on the same line.
If we do actually win the league it's not unreasonable to assume that we'll have the top scorer too.

Anyone take my advice?
Roughly 35/1 if you did.

Nice touch

No bother Brendan.

Just checked and Paddy Power marked the Bohs game as void because it was moved and only paid out on the other 4 :(
Poxy bog in Longford

Don't have any odds yet.

Shamrock Rovers v Cork City Away (Tough call. We're not great at the back but can score. Rovers are good at the back but can't score.)
Bohemians v Waterford United Home (There'll be goals for both sides but Bohs to shade it.)
Drogheda United v St. Patrick's Athletic Away (Two of the poorest sides in the league. Pats to win late.)
Derry City v Shelbourne Draw (Derry are always tough at home and Shels are not in full flow yet.)
Dublin City v Longford Town Draw (Neither side has settled yet. A goal each, both from headers.)

Sounds dodgy. Did they mark it void before the rearranged match or when they heard they result & close to you bankrupting them? :D

Did they mark it void before the rearranged match

Yesterday it was marked "Pending" and today it was marked "Void" and they'd paid out on the other 4 games. Dodgy as Dodge himself.

If a match is postponed and it is part of an accumulator then PP will
void the game and pay on the other results. They treat it the same as a non runner in racing. and even if the game is rearranged quickly you cannot get the original bet back on.

Shamrock Rovers v Cork City Away 5/4
Bohemians v Waterford United Home 1/2
Drogheda United v St. Patrick's Athletic Away 13/8
Derry City v Shelbourne Draw 11/5
Dublin City v Longford Town Draw 9/4

€1 on that lot would give you a potential return of €92.14

Paddy Power . com have Derry down as being the away team but still only give 13/8 on them to win. Those odds are very short for last seasons play-off team against the league winners.
