Board of Control elected

The opening eircom League management committee meeting of the year took place following the league’s Annual General Meeting in Dublin last Saturday evening, during which the new Board of Control for the coming year was elected.

eircom League launched


The eircom League 2004 season was officially launched today (Monday, March 15th) at the National Museum, Collins Barracks, Dublin.

The launch, which commenced at 11am, was attended by team managers, captains and club officials from each of the 22 eircom League while representatives from sponsors eircom, the eircom League and the FAI were also be in attendance.

The launch will be supported by a national radio advertising campaign, which is being coordinated by eircom League Marketing Manager Aidan Doyle. The radio campaign will comprise spots on national and local stations and will run through March and April.

Jeez like anti-Pale Board of Control. Wonder how long before the dub club supporters be moaning about that.

Marketing campaign to kickstart season

The beginning of the eircom League campaign will be greeted by a massive national media campaign, which will run through the next six weeks and will include localised radio advertisements throughout the country, including voiceovers by Pat Dolan, Pat Devlin and Paul McGrath, among others.

The league was launched on Monday, when the 22 league managers and captains convened in Collins Barracks in Dublin ahead of the big kick-off, which takes place in Oriel Park on Thursday night when Dundalk take on Sligo Rovers.
