You could go for best team of all time but there wouldn't be too many on it playing i the last 10 yrs, maybe barry riordan, daniel power..... can't think of too many more and sure that fills up the two striker spots.

Better off id say keeping it to the last decade, still thinking who id have but i definetly couldn't look past those two for the up front spots......

1. Ollie Byrnes (Rathkeale)
2. Noel Murphy (NCW)
3.
4. John Kelleher (Abbeyfeale)
5. Anthony O Donnell (Creeves/NCW)
6. Paul Ruttle (Rathkeale)
7.
8. Gary Egan (Broadford)
9. Daniel Power (NCW)
10. Barry Riordan (Rathkeale)
11.

Manager: Gerry Cronin. Has to have won the most trophies in the past 10 yrs as a manager

Was going to put shaughnessy from Rathkeale in defence but i just think Kelleher has probably done a bit more.

Finding it hard to add a few more to the places above. Could do with a hand. Or am i totally wrong. Anyone agree or disagree?

Wouldn't agree with No.11, I'm struggling myself to think of a winger but I'd put Alan O'Shea (Rathkeale) in before Declan Nash in my opinion

Is Power classed as a winger or striker? Always thought he was a striker myself

Probably a striker but played on the wing on occassions, he is good enough to be on that team but i feel the 2 strikers at 9 and 10 have been the best over the last ten years.
Mike Clancy from broadford could be a contender for full back also i think, even though he was probably more of a centre half for most of the time.
Some Lads dont play consistently in one position for a club, like centre mid or centre half or full back.....depending on a day or season some players might have played in 2 positions, 50/50

There is some serious politics going on here lads. Did Ballingarry not win two leagues in the last decade, yet no one has named any of their players. Did Broadford not have more players than anyone else on the successful Desmond league team, yet I only see one Broadford player, Paul Lynch from Rathkeale, probably Rathkeales best player ever, Seamus O'Donnell former league of Ireland player, JJ Murphy, Dinny Scollard and Mikey Clancy, 3 of Broadfords best players ever, not mentioned and yet some very very average players seem to make some lads selections. If you cant remember back to the start of the decade you shouldnt name an eleven

If everybody named their own clubs team of the decade then it would be easier for everyone to name the league team of the decade

If you want to do that ,start a thread for your own team and keep it separate.

You are missing the point, If people name the best players from their own club, then people can make an educated attempt at naming the best players in the league for the decade. Could you even name the premier league teams from the first five or six years of the decade, never mind some of their players which may be worthy being named in a league team of the decade

Well I had dennis kelly up front in my team and I did name Mike Clancy in a later post, I remember playing against Dinny and Seamus and yes they should be considered. I know JJ but dont remember playing against him.
Everyone will be different in choosing players, you might rate a player that someone else dosent, or might remember a player that someone else cant.

Max, played on the wing for Kildimo
To be fair he played his best football in the late 90's but did continue into the 2000's, best winger I have seen in the desmond league to that stage

He is still playing away. he is a bit like Ryan Giggs.ha
He always seems to up it a gear against Rathkeale scored some really classes finishes against them through the years. Also Ran the ragged in the desmond cup semi final in 2008.

What about is it KENNY from Rathkeale always a had a fine game anytime I saw him playing.Centre midfield pulled the strings for them.
