ALL CHANGE AGAIN !!!

Declan O'Luanaigh has been elected as chairman of the eircom League. O'Luanaigh defeated John Byrne in a secret ballot at the Leagues AGM on Saturday. This seasons campaign will be minus the play-offs as the clubs voted for a 12 team Premier League in 2005. One club will be relegated and 3 will be promoted from the First Division.

While it may be wise to extend the Premier League from 10 to 12, the decision to do away with the play-offs is ridiculas. Traditionaly the largest gates of the season have been the play-off matches. Ask Derry, Finn Harps, Drogheda, Limerick etc. all were involved in the play-offs in the past couple of seasons.
