Well folks,

I am enquirying about Athlone Towns F.C. sponsorship deals and am looking for someone to contact and information on some facts and figures, any help would be grateful, its for a research project in relation to sponsorship at a local level in Soccer & GAA. I will post few questions?

Q1
Are sponsorship deals important for the Athlone Towns survival?
Q2
Does Athlone Town find it difficult to find sponsors?
Q3.
How many sponsors does the Athlone Town need to keep the club up and running?
Q5
How does Athlone Town select their sponsors?
Q6
Does the club have to pitch to companies for sponsorship or visa versa?
Q7.
How did the sponsorship deal come about between Athlone Town & Gateway Investments?
Q8.
How long is the sponsorship deal for?
Q9.
How much is the Sponsorship deal for in monetary value? (Approx value)
Q10.
Is the sponsorship deal split between monetary value & advice, facilities, services?
Q11.
Is the relationship between Athlone town & Gateway investment always been positive?
Yes/No answer please.
Q12.
What does Gateway investment get in return for the sponsorship deal?
Q13.
Does the football club gain any supporters through their deal with gateway investments and their customers?
Your help is apperciated. Thank You

Gary Curran and Adrian Murphy are training with the club. They haven't signed yet. Also there's a Lynch lad who used to play with Longford training as well but don't think its the lad they had playing for them last season.

as mentioned on the longford town forum that would be Stephen Lynch who was with us for a short spell in 2000-01. He played with UCD for a short while and just drifted off playing GAA for the senior team. I believe that hes playing with Spartak Granard in the Longford District league.. I would be sorry to see Curran and Murph goin ...
