Its on tommorow, going up against WWE. Three hour special. Names like RVD, Ken Kennedy, Goldberg and Paul Heyman have been mentioned to appear.
On Irish television, I think will be shown next Saturday, however Dixie Carter mentioned that it would be an edited 2 hour version in the uk.
On tomorrow night on SpikeTV, same time as RAW I think.

Going to watch WWE on TV and TNA on the interwebs illegally*.
*I'm a badass.
More interested in Raw of course, fans have been waiting over 10 years for Vince and Bret to go face-to-face.
Hogan on the other hand, I just want to see what he is going to do tomorrow. TNA have done sweet f**k all to convince people to watch. It's just ''Hey!, Hulks gunna be on TNA...you guys should watch it''. At least with WWE we know that at some point something between Bret and Vince will happen.

I don't think the WWE will be beaten either (and as a fan since 99 I'm hoping not), but it's exciting to have some competition again.

Ah I watch TNA cause we I was younger Sting was my Icon, and hes in it! well was duno where he is now! Syles is unreal with all those rope moves! He'd do well in WWE! Give it 5 years before TNA does a WCW and invades the WWE to start another war/split etc etc etc!

I used to watch it when they were in Universal studios(boy was that crappy).
I dunno I just always found WWE more entertaining. And the Octagon ring threw me off it aswell.

i thought raw was hopeless. spent more time watching tna-angle vs styles was amazing, wrestling aint a sport but well that match was one of the great performances i ever seen.

actually wrestling should be in other sports tbh. its not a sport but it's a sport in nature so yeah. anyway bret hart looked terrible, was a sad sight to see. i wish he had returned when wwe was not in PG mode.
Yeah I've been a huge WWF and later WCW and TNA fan since the 80s.
Bret was always my favourite, kept my interest in the sport even after it was dying (granted the product is so stale in the WWE now I never watch any more)
Anyway have just watche dthe highlights of both Raw and TNA and TNA was by far the better show. Bar Hitman's interaction with Michaels Raw was quite poor. Impact was far better, better matches and better segments, plus I'm a huge Bischoff fan so was delighted to see back on TV. Also TNA's signing of Jeff Hardy is massive in terms of taking ratings from the WWE. Loads of kids will switch over now because Jeff was the most over star in the federation before he left. Great signing by TNA

Nitro was on TNT which my cousins down the country had. I don't know if the channel was on any cable package in Dublin.
TNT is the correct answer
Used to watch that on Fridays and then late night Raw on Sky
Youtube or dailymotion some of the the stuff they did, honestly WCW in 1996/97 was the best time for wrestling in my opinion, unbelievable matches backed by great storylines
That said Bret vs Austin from 96/97 is my favourite feud of all time

I saw Sheamus O'Shaugnessy wrestle in the Laughter Lounge only about 3 years ago, there's a really dedicated Irish wrestling scene and there was a few other very talented guys on the card that night. I'm not a big wrestling fan but they definitely put on a good show.

Disapointed that he let Vince kick him, after what Vince done to him in real life:o
Whats wrestling without a rivalry?
It would have been a lot more boring if he and Vince had a man love moment in the ring, because obviously they still disagree with what happened in 1997.
But like you said he signed till April so plenty of time for Bret to kick his ass.

Beginning in 1991, WCW WorldWide was broadcast in the UK on the ITV network originally overnight at 1 or 2 a.m.
I always thought they put it on at around 5 as well. after the likes of airwolf etc. :D
ha i was right, great memory :D
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCW_WorldWide -> WorldWide in the United Kingdom
Also it's great to see Bischoff back on TV as well. For my money he plays the GM role much better than Vince even

Hmm I wouldn't be so sure that Hogan is going to elevate the younger guys. Looks like he's going to push his pals more. It's already being seen as Desmond Wolfe (aka Nigel McGuinness) was substantially pushed down the card for Monday's show having stolen the show at their last two PPVs.
TNA Spoiler
Desmond Wolfe goes over clean on Samoa Joe on next week's Impact, push resumed
Re: Bret - I can understand why Vince got the first shot in. A lot of wrestling fans turned on the Hitman due to perceived bitterness on his part, for him to lay out Vince after Vince thanked him for being the Best There Is, Was and Will Ever Be would have to set Bret up as the heel as it would be a cheap shot. Now I want to tune in to see Bret get his revenge on Vince.
Also he's had three strokes so he's pretty limited in the ring (can't take any hard head shots) so I think the plan is for Vince to take on Bret in a street fight at WM as that will limit they amount of action (similar to Hogan v Vince) and give adequate breathing time between spots. Hitman will go over with the Sharpshooter at WM
Re: Hulk - He'll push some of his mates because he'll think nWo = ratings and to an extent he is right. That said the Nasty Boys shouldn't be let near a ring, and Bubba The Love Sponge is an idiot of the highest order. That said Hogan with his financial problems NEEDS this to work, so he'll do whatever will make him and TNA the most money. I think the elevation of the Pope, the continued push of other young guys and Jeff Hardy come sin means we'll see these near the top for the time being. I also have no problem with the Outsiders reforming to take on Beer Money. Beer Money are the third best tag team in the last ten years (Machine Guns and E&C in that order for the top two) so for them to face off against arguably the best, but definitely the most important, tag team of the 90s makes sense to me

Thanks for the spoiler Jebus, quite interesting.
Hardy, while an undoubted talent of the highest order, is a bit of a risk for the moment with substantial criminal charges hanging over him.
Don't get me wrong I want TNA to succeed, I'm just worried by some of the moves they are making. They can't afford to weaken the future of the company just for a quick ratings boost now.
While successful indy performers in their own right prior to joining the promotion, publicly the likes of Styles, Joe, and the Motor City Machine Guns are seen as home-grown talents of TNA. They can't let talents like these fall by the wayside.
Well I think if done right they can use the likes of Angle, the Gunns, Beer Money, the Knockouts, AJ, Joe, Wolfe, Daniels, that new team the Young Bucks, Amazing Red and others to keep the new viewers after Hogan, nWo, Hardy, RVD, Flair and their lot draw them in then they'll be doing very well. That should be their plan and believe me I'm rooting for them. I grew up a WWF fan, stuck by them even when WCW was miles better than them but the last couple of years they have been terrible (take a bow Stephanie McMahon, surely the worst booker in wrestling history?) and TNA have upped the game. No one wants slow, punch and kick, muscle men style wrestling that Vince has a hard on for anymore, people want fast paced, properly honed wrestling styles in the ring. The audience is too intelligent nowadays for Vince to do his usual 'you'll like this because I tell you you will' and the WWE hasn't been able to cope with that.

WWE is hamstrung as well by the networks their programming appears on, they just can't have anything as outrageous the classic Ministry storylines (ok, the ending was weak) for fear of losing their sponsorship. ECW is massively tamed down from its origins, it's not much more than Smackdown with some weapons outside the ring sometimes.

07/01/2010, 10:39 PM
ECW is being changed soon anyway, SciFy are unhappy with it's ratings and want a show like Superstars on it's schedule or else they're out of the deal. Which is a shame because I've enjoyed Christian's version of ECW, often it has been better than Raw to be honest.

Great memories from the 90's when we used to have the old chorus cable or 'pipe' as it was known to some. At around 10pm on a Friday Cartoon Network would go off air and on came TNT with WCW Monday Nitro :D.
Here's Hogan's TNA debut (also involves X-Pac, Hall, Nash and Bischoff)
