Not sure what to make of this, im excited at the prospect of some new Partridge material but worried that the film wont be able to match the quality of previous tv/radio/stage work. Would much prefer to see another tv show to be honest, maybe a one off special on what happened in Dundee!:D

Mentalist!

I always think of Alan Partridge when I see ads for 'The Mentalist' on Sky. Unfortunately, that particular show is a US police/profiler drama that is poorly made and completely devoid of humour.

Have to say though, I'm in the 'it's been done, don't risk screwing it up with a movie' camp. Which also happens to have the most stupid name for a camp ever conceived.

Didn't he already screw it up with the 2nd series of I'm Alan Partridge (where he's living in the caravan) - very poor stuff.

definetly wasnt as good as the first series which was on over Xmas and was pretty much close to comedy perfection but the second series did have its moments

100% agree with this. The 2nd series certainly wasnt "very poor". This movie could be tho!

Really liked both series of Im Alan Partridge (the first more so than the second) but to be honest i still get more enjoyment and laughs out of Knowing Me, Knowing you.

Isn't "Stop getting Bond wrong?" second series. His face when juice gets spilt all over his collection and the way he says, "Yeah, they're ruined," are priceless.

I agree, whilst I wouldn't say series 2 was a lot better than series 1, for me, there's not a lot in it.....Eyes Wide Alan is comedy gold!
