Article in eircomleague.net, indicating that CCFC are interested in signing wingers, Bobby Ryan and Donal O'Brien from Galway United for £20,000.
Galway are in such deep trouble, both financially and league table wise, that a complete re-organsistion is on the cards.
Where the hell are CCFC going to get £20K???
Maybe the rumours linking Ollie with Bristol Rovers are not quite off the mark!!

if galway are in such financial trouble then why do we have to spend 20k on those 2 average players. surely we could get them for less seeing as they are desperate for money

Just what I thought, apparently galway think that £20K is a bargain!!:D
"It may end in relegation but the fact is we are going to get relegated anyway," the gloomy Dubliner admitted.
Unbelievable quote just over one third thru the season!!!
That'll really boost the attendances at Galway.

Unfortunately not the much sought after Centre Half, but a class act all the same. I speak of Galway's classy wiger Bobby Ryan. Cork are rumored to be prepared to part with £20k for his services along with another player from Galway.
I never saw him play (barely even heard of him) but we definitely could do with a 'classy winger'. Ideally he could play on the right wing, or maybe he could challenge our own 'classy whinger' on the left?

Niamh, if it's sourced in The Star, there must be some truth in it! The 'For all that matters' paper is normally quite good for EL gossip!
Can anybody tell me where CCFC could manage to get £20K from if they do make a bid?? We're not exactly flush with cash :D

We got £3,000 for Herrick and since O'Halloran left we don't have to buy bibs and Liga anymore...
Well I can remember a fairly excellent winger playing for galway at the cross last season. Can't remember his name but he was a damn good player. Maybe its the same guy. And if i'm right, he has a big mad curly head on him!!!

That Bobby Ryan was unbelievable against city at the cross last year, I remember he made an ass of Patsy(how dare he) on the wing B4 cutting in beating 1 or 2 players and curling a goal in from outside the area. Down the Saint Annes end,I think he was wearing 10 and those silver nike boots like Zenden wears. If he plays like that all the time we should definately get him, maybe we should trade Tynan 4 him!!!!
