"It is not premitted to handle the ball... (laughter)".
The guy is a disgrace.

Is the laughter coming from him, whoever he's with or those in attendance at the press-conference? Like Dodge says, please elaborate.

Launching the official matchball before the world cup draw. He[Blatter] goes to pick the ball up off a pedastal, but stops and starts chuckling, but it is not permitted to handle the ball in football, so how do I pick it up?[laughter from Blatter] [uncomfortable laughter from audience]. Its been on SSN this evening. Pr1ck

I didn't even watch the draw myself joe. That's terrible behaviour to be continuously mocking us like that.

Had a look around and couldn't find a video. Hopefully somebody finds it and puts it up on Youtube. My contempt for this man is growing and growing, thank god we haven't had to deal with him too often in the past, but no doubt we've been the ill gotten recipients of his back handed approach to the game indirectly many times in the past.
Dickie Dunne had some good comments today about Blatter and his award. Summises is quiet well. Might try dig up a link.

The biggest disappointment I think is that people are only realising now what an utter cuconut he is. This is typical Blatter, standard back when he was Heavy Lunge's chief expediter.
Of course, keeping on about an incident that should have been forgotten about by the time of the draw is not something exclusive to him, though he is using a pretty huge stage to do so. I hope Theron gave him a good knee in the nuts, but only after having taked him up to a viagra assisted erection first, on behalf of pretty much every football fan in the world.

He's right. Pity Swedish refs/linos think otherwise.
He's taking the pis out of France as much as ourselves there.

Blatter is up for re-election in 2011. It is up to every Ireland fan to make sure this cretin is not re-elected. How can we do that? We keep the spotlight constantly on him. We organise online with like minded fans from other countries (and there are plenty of them who hate Blatter). We put pressure on Irish journos to do their jobs ie start shining the light on this guy. We find out who is runing against him and help them out anyway we can. We make it a news story. It can be done.

If it is a two horse race between himself and Warner, then we can just give up. :(

They are the puppet and the hand all right. I can't see Warner running against his mate. Lets hope it is someone with at least a percentage of decency. I am going to try find out who will be the likely candidate/s.
Here is Sepp in a less jovial mood.

Daily Mail is a rag but Shay has an interesting interview in it today - most of it relates to the game in Paris.

I've sent Andrew Jennings an email asking him to outline what is likely to happen before the next FIFA Presidential election (who will be running against Blatter etc). I will post his reply as soon as I get it.

Hilarious comments there alright. They love Shearer though despite the fact that he took them down. I don't think I've ever seen a team relegated with so little fight, but hey he's a geordie. Given should have left them a long time before he did.

Don't think those comments would represent a majority view of Geordie fans. At the time he left a lot of fans said they couldn't blame him for leaving given the state of the club. He had many other chances to leave but was loyal to the club for a ridiculously long time. Guaranteed he will get a good reception overall when City play at St. James Park (looks like they will be back in the same division next season).

Micah Richards handled the ball before Adebayors goal yesterday. Chelsea should demand a replay or at least ask for the Premiership trophy. Surely Shay Given will come out and demand it, after his outrage at Henry. Or is it Ok now because the decision went for his team??

There is no comparison between the two, and the fact that you are trying to make one shows you in a poor light.

Hmm. We should feel sympathy for some team who've wasted £800 million trying to build-up some tinpot club in W.London....

I think we have gone off track. I think the calls for a replay were not realistic. However, Blatters latest 'joke' was just dreadful. How can such a man get to the top of the FIFA tree. At least the IRB and the GAA are willing to look at new rules. FIFA have no interest in fair play or honesty. Nonetheless, my bitterness is still shadowed by my imense pride to be represented by the current team. I'll never forget those moments when the team came over to us at the end of the game. We were all in it together.
I always felt that the victory over brazil sparked the charlton era, it gave the team self belief. The french game will do the same, we've some business to finish and i hope we get them in the Euros. Bring on the Euros, can't wait to see this team go back to battle!

geordies are without doubt the worst fans in england...stupid barcodes.
whether it be that nob who got the andy cole tattoo, or some random who claims they are the most loyal fans ever, i always take joy in asking,
"sorry, was it the 1989-90 or 90/91 season where your average attendance was 17,000????"
why given wasted so much time at that ****hole i will never know.
