I've never understood why the Great Cork Sporting Public loathed Doolin. And hopefully you never will. ;)

And the reason for the "hatred" - he and his team took the FAI and Setanta cups away from you in finals and don't forget he was in the Derry team that beat us in the 89 Cup final.

So tell me tiktok why was Doolin hated by Cork fans prior to his arrival

Why do many Drogs fans hate him now, despite the success be brought?
He wasn't hated at all, that word is thrown around far too easily by people.

I disliked him for the reasons I already outlined, but his years as a player (89 cup final, IMO a constant danger of crippling someone on the pitch) and UCD manager were key to that dislike. I didn't like him long before he turned up on you doorstep. Not everything relates back to your club.

Common thoughts on him from people I've spoken to is great coach, poor manager, awful people skills. I only met him once, cuddly he is not!

I never liked him as a player, I never liked his style of football as a manager, with UCD, Drogs or ourselves but like most I gave him a chance when he got the job, though he was far from my first choice. he got results but his 'style' of football drove countless people away before Coughlan started to drive the rest fo them away. His comments about how supporters were stupid for wanting nice attractive football sums up why he was never going to fit in at Cork City and why most washed their hands of him.

Good enough reason and is why i'm starting to dislike Dermot Keely

Don't get me started on Keely.
Also for the record, if he ever becomes Drogs boss, I already dislike him.
Liam Buckley too!

Why would his years as UCD manager bother you?

*thinks she would do well to set up a "rate everyone's manager" website and sell ads for things that Tiktok likes, make a bleeding fortune*

And the reason for the "hatred" - he and his team took the FAI and Setanta cups away from you in finals and had the cheek to win the league against your team. That's the sum total of his crimes prior to going to Cork. Now that is stupid.

Well Connor had a career with Waterford and done himself no favours in Cork.
Doolin could not pick his nose never mind say the team:rolleyes:

i think Doolin did well to get the team to third. However it always seemed his heart wasn't in it, which may be understandable given the financial mess the club was in.

better for all for him to leave now IMO.
