Is expected to be announced Monday or Tuesday. It is between Stephen Kenny and Joe Miller it seems. Alan Mathews backed out because of the Full-time setup.

Yeah Alan Mathews is apparently going back to the Ulster Bank after his leave of absence shortly and understandably doesn't want to risk his job there in these uncertain times!. He may take time out from football altogether from what i hear.

I thought it was going to be Mathews to be honest.Stephan Kenny has a fairly good chance of being manager of Dundalk.

If you don't mind I'll post what I want to post without asking for your permission.

I'm saying neither Kenny nor Miller will be Dundalk's next manager and I'll let the club break the news on who will be the manager.

In that case you shouldn't have said anything

I've heard its going to be Eddie Gormley

Hairy Bowsie
21/11/2009, 10:17 AM
Could be Gormley, can't really see why anyone would give him a job, unless it was a fare but considering how close he was to taking over Pats mid season, i suppose it's possible.

Was hat no because he was a Pats legend as well as Kenna not having a great time. Sure wasnt Osam linked to Pats on a cartaker basis too!

Edit:

Eddie Gormley isnt full time, the board stated that they want a full time manager!

He's only a taxi driver, i'm pretty sure he'd be willing to give that up, if it came to it

Anyone able to provide sufficient sources that Fozzy is in the running?

National press a few weeks back, not so much now, main runners seem to be Stephen Kenny, Joe Miller and supposedly Alan Matthews. But Smorgan app knows more than everyone else in Dundalk and North Louth so....Rafa Benitez maybe?!

To save having to do this every close season the Dundalk managers for the next 6 years will be

Kenny. 2010
Miller. 2011
Foster. 2014
Matthews. 2013
Gormley. 2015
Collins. 2012

I heard this one too. My source said it was as a director of football. No idea if it's true but it would explain Turner turning down Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers.

Turner turned both down cause he got a signing on fee and a two year deal!
