Just an FYI to anyone planning on going via boat from the UK, the shipping has been disrupted in the Irish Sea today due to the fierce winds and high seas:

13/11/2009 Latest Ferry Information for Friday 13th of November.
IRISH FERRIES: The following Irish Ferries Swift sailing has been cancelled due to adverse weather forecasts. • Ex Dublin: 1430hrs • Ex Holyhead: 1715hrs * All passengers booked on this sailings will be accomodated on the cruise ferry sailings at 08:05hrs and 20:55hrs. • For any additional information contact Irish Ferries on: • 0818 300 400 Ireland. • 08717 300 400 UK. • 01 855 2296 Dublin Port Office. • 00353 818 300 400 Northern Ireland.
STENA LINE: * Stena Line sailing at 21:15 from Rosslare – Fishguard has been cancelled due to severe weather conditions on the Irish Sea. All other Stena Line sailings are expected to sail to schedule today. • Passengers requiring further information on sailings are advised to contact Ferrycheck on 00353 01 2047799. • Reservations contact number: 003531 2047777. • Fleetwood is a tidal port therefore departures from Larne and arrivals at Fleetwood will vary depending on tidal conditions.
STENA LINE BUS SERVICE: Foot passengers can avail of a coach service from Dublin City Centre to the Stena Line Terminal in Dublin Port. • The coach departs at 07:15 & 19:45 daily from the Morton's Coaches stop on Westmoreland St (south of O'Connell's Bridge, outside Bewley's Cafe) in Dublin City Centre. • Please note the coach service from Dublin Port back to the city centre is only available on the 8:20 and 21:15 sailings.
If you are planning on using the boat tomorrow please check ahead (although I'm not sure what you can do about it should they cancel the ferries). The situation could be different tomorrow.
