Well done to Monaghan, excellent 2nd half to the season. If they can keep their core of the squad and get off to a better start next year, they should be in or around the play-offs. Someone last May started a thread saying Mick Cooke was sacked after a 6-0 defeat in Waterford, it just shows stability is the key. They scored lots of goals aswell, 57 if I think, Well Done :)

Keely and hedderman should not be allowed to play football.......i've never seen 2 players as bad this season.....

Good game though, fingal deserved the win. very impressed with the two centre mids, especially Williams. Cracking finish from zayed too.

Yeah we scored 57 but conceeded 48! I agree that the stability we have bulit up in the past few seasons has helped us big style. We are hoping that most of our players will be with us and alot of credit must go to Mick, Pat and Brendan who turned into the dream team.

Delighted for Karl Bermingham who equalised the clubs highest goal scoring record and was presented with a signed match ball and a signed number 17 jersey (he scored 17 goals) in recognition. Nice way to end the season.

What would have happened the number 17 jersey if he hadnt scored!!!???

Magicme
11/11/2009, 8:50 AM
It would have stayed in the kitbag unsigned! If he had scored 2 last night the 18 jersey would have been graffiitied instead.

Rumour has it our kit man robbed it back and has the staindevil on it already trying to remove the signatures! :D Sorry Cack!

Yeah good news for both us and Drogs that they stayed up.

Always nice to have the competitive edge to the matches, not to mention the near season best crowds for each.

Also look forward to local radio for this away game, comparing the nice love in from LMFM to the slightly less mellow tones from those nice chaps over on Dlk FM.

Anyway well done on this lads, odds were very heavily against you all season, so fair play.
