Dream on....Longford seem to have hit a bit of form. I'd say theres going to be bags of goals in this one as neither side has anything to play for. 4-4.:)

lads,

are many of ye coming up to the game? the supporters club are having a bash after the game in the clubhouse and will be announcing the player of the year, goal of the year and young player of the year. Our manager will be having a talk to us as well. There will be plenty of finger food provided and ye are welcome to attend.

We could arrange for steveo to fight em at half time?

Longfordian
04/11/2009, 4:39 PM
Sure why not, it's the last game of the season what harm can it do?.

Is it illegal for humans to fight horses? Could raise a few quid for a half time extravaganza...

Longfordian
04/11/2009, 5:02 PM
I think it is unfortunately. Namby pamby liberals have banned that kind of thing. It's the likes of them that has the country the way it is.

bluewhitearmy
04/11/2009, 5:08 PM
What if we dressed the humans in leo the lion suits?

RonnieB
04/11/2009, 5:12 PM
Actually we have a few mascot costumes somewhere... Limerick Lion vs Longford Lion in a fight to the death* (death may not actually involve real killing no lions we harmed in the making of this event) It would be better than the match and all :)

Also Macy fret not, there are a new range of Xmas goodies coming out. One being a home Wea or Woffee kit for the discerning fan. Its contents include a double measure of Jameson, Plastic cup, sachet of sugar and a sachet of Maxwell house or Own Label teabag.. For real Wea/Woffee like enjoyment it is recommended to stand out in the lawn in the ****ing rain and howling wind whilst enjoying your tasty beverage.

Oh and as for the match to keep this nonsense somewhat on topic, a highly enjoyable 2-2 draw.

Dancing till late.

Lets do that seen as the horse vs humans is out of the question. Oh and is there some kind of match too?

1-1

Calla with the goal
Wayne with the red card (2 yellows. 1st was harsh)

2 mins stoppage at the end even though there was 6 subs, I mean WTF!
Where do we get them from????

One last thing, we passed a huge house fire just outside Longford on the way home, any Longford lads know if anyone was hurt. GF was worried.

We also saw the fire. Enjoyed the game overall. Not bad for an end of season game.

Yeah I must say it was an open and enjoyable game, plenty of football played by both sides. Ye had us to the pin of our collars to keep ye out and Shanahan made some brilliant saves yet we could have scored a few more ourselves. Good way to finish off the season.

I feel much better at this moment about the game than I did on the bus home because The Irish Times has just told me that the final score was 2-1. So we won!! Excellent. Great away win to finish off the season.
