believe it or not its not from the wrexham bournmouth game last night tues 24th.
the distinction belongs to the james o connor of shelbourne in a league match in 1967.bohs were two up at half time but o connor scored his hat trick in 2 mins and 19 secs and shels went on to win 3.2.

There was a big thing on BBC Radio5Live about it. The poor fella who scored was told that he had broken the world record only for the BCC guy to correct him and say that a "Shel-born" player actually holds the record.

Personally I find it of relevence that the eL (or rather the LoI) holds the fastest hat-trick record.
