Anyone suggest, free, safe parking with a direct bus/dart route into city centre that runs after 11pm?

I am taking my youngest on his Green Day stalking mission before the gig tomorrow so we intend being in the city most of the day and to park there would cost an arm and a leg and maybe half a torso, so am trying to find somewhere not too far out that is secure and cheap or preferably free that we will be able to get back from the O2 to without difficulty.

I am bringing my parents car as my car lost the driver side wiper today and wont be fixed in time so really want to make sure it is safe.

Ta loves!

Luas park'n'ride at the Red Cow is usually ok, alternatively just park in the Red Cow hotel and walk back to the Red Cow luas stop. Not too sure about futher north.

Red Cow Luas park and ride? I'm pretty sure it's free and Luas runs after 11.

It's not free and if you don't pay the proper rate €2 up to 4 hrs or €4 over 4 hrs you'll be clamped.

As for parking in Red Cow Hotel, forget it, almost guaranteed you'll be clamped.

Thanks John! Last thing I can afford at the mo is clamping.

Just saw this (http://foot.ie/forums/showthread.php?t=109152) thread when I googled parking near O2 and was wondering if any of you had parked on Sherrif Street or that area and if it is secure?

I have parked at Heuston station a few times over a weekend...and it was only 12 euro for the whole weekend...dunno bout cost during the week though....

That sounds great!

Will check that out. Have thought of a few options including the chairman's daughters place in Ringsend!

Ah crap, I saw the thread title "parking help" and the fact it was started by a Female poster and I as all set to come in with a rant about a woman driving round and round tesco car park this morning looking for 2 spaces in order to park her car.
Oh well :p

Ha ha. Its even harder to sleep when you have drank enough caffiene to keep an army awake and then your 12 year old wants to sleep in your bed coz he wants to talk about Green Day til 3 in the morning! Trust me on this one! :D
