Anyone know a site with the latest scores? Fai.ie and rte have nothing.

It was 0-0. Good result for Ireland considering they were playing away with a load of players unavailable.

Italy drew 1-1 with Madeira Island after having two men sent off as well - up on Aertel now; maybe livescore.net for updates?

Remember Tó Madeira from CM 01/02? He was cool.

Fake, though.

Ireland look certain to win it now after beating Madeira 4-0. Only a 4-0 Portuguese victory against Italy would see Ireland not winning it.

The Republic of Ireland Under 21's have given themselves an excellent opportunity of claiming the Madeira International Tournament after beating a Madeira select 4-0 in their final game on Friday morning.

The result means that Portugal must beat Italy by four clear goals when the two sides meet this afternoon (Kick off 12:15) if they are to wrestle tournament victory from Ireland's grasp.

The victory was well deserved by Ireland who dominated the game for the entire 90 minutes with a brace from Kevin Doyle and a goal each from Stephen Paisley and Willo Flood securing the victory.

Givens was ordered from the dug out moments later for protesting over a Paisley booking though it had little affect on Ireland

They probably played better with Givens sent off :)

of the 5 goals scored 4 were scored by eL players and the other one was set up by Waterfords Murphy.

Maybe Givens will realise something. Especially when you consider their England based team mates are midseason while the eL lads are only starting up again.

Resident Cynic Warning.

Maderia are probably no better than Rambler so woul;dn'#t get too carried away with the 4-0. Also no one really knows what standard of players Portugal or Italy put out although obviously they ain't going to be that bad givent he countries they are.

I'd imagine the Portugal team will be the bones of the team at the Olympics in the summer, so I'd say they're pretty decent

The Republic of Ireland Under 21's have won the Madeira International Tournament after beating a Madeira select 4-0 in their final game on Friday morning.

Ireland's 4-0 victory put them ahead of Portugal on goal difference, who failed to score the required four goals to leap ahead of Ireland as they beat Italy 2-0, and ensure Ireland's first ever Under 21 title.

Ireland are deserved champions having not conceded a goal during the three games as they drew with Portugal, beat Italy 1-0 before rounding off the week with Friday morning's 4-0 victory.

I have to admit that while I'd never detract from a fine achievement by our lads -I don't think I'd HEARD OF all but one of the clubs the Italian team was drawn from.

Then again how Italians looking at the Irish lineup would have heard of Longford Town or Cork City?

They can only play whats infront of them. They did that and won well.

I still think that Givens isnt fit to manage the Sneem U-6 team though.

Ireland didn't bring their strongest squad either yet we still won...

The iceland tournament kick started Jack charltonm hopefully this will move the U 21's on although as long as given is in charge I doubt it.
