They are the club we all love to hate but the league would be a poorer place if they went belly up.

If Rovers folded it would be a disaster for the league...i hope they can get there stadium sorted soon so we can get back to slagging them as always..
There is going to be murder between thoses clubs next season after Grant signing for Bohs.A cult hero joining there bitter rivals and also possibly sharing there ground...

I have seen enough of Grant in the past few seasons to make me say that. He has never impressed me really.
You also don't rate eL player of the season Byrne.
But Georgie, Fenn and O'Flynn are the best thing since........Johnny C/Dave Barry?
Coincidence?

joking aside lads, the quality of the e/l league is diminished by the likes of rovers troubles and throw in limericks while we are at it.
if rovers couldnt get a ground or limerick a team it would be a
catastrophy for the league.remember you need both sets of fans for a proper slagging match!!!!!!!

I'd hate to see the homeless scum go to the wall, most of their fans are animals fair enough but when Rovers come to the cross it's always a great atmosphere and usually a great game too.
Remember a couple of years ago 2 nil down,3-2 up,City fcuked those rovers up.Jimmy Mull,what a player.

I was told by a guy on the el messsage board that Jimmy Mul was working as a stunt double for Christy Moore:p
Seriously though, he retired from football and i think he moved back to dublin. He had big problems with the drink.

He had more of a problem with gambling really rather than the drink.
But ur right, he has gone back to dublin and isnt playin football anymore

Thats a shame,he was a great player and kept us some bit entertained during some of the dire sunday 2 O clock games in the cross.:(
Lads to be fair I think Jimmy's personal life shouldnt really be taken apart.
What should be though is THAT goal he scored against Rovers in the 3-2 game when he skipped passed their entire defence and fired home. What a game.

That is noe thing about him alright .... his work rate was double any other player at the time. They were dark days compared to now but Jimmy brightened them up a bit .... pity City couldn't have played it along to ground to him at the time ... he would really have come into his own then.
Viva Jimmy the Gnome !!
