Piece in the times as well along the same lines.
I had a similar problem a few years ago with a tumour, though not in the brain. Hits you for six. Very tough time for the lad I would imagine.
Puts things in pespective.
I wish him all the best.

Mark is a paragon of a professional footballer. I'm sure he'll make a good recovery to once again lead the Derry City forward line.

Can only echo the above statement. Excellent player and hope he would have the best wishes of every fan inthe LOI in his battle.

On the front page of the Mirror LoI supplement today too.
"Low grade benign tumour" it says which sounds hopeful at least, still scary though.
Best wishes to a fine player.

I read the bad news in the mirror.. its a pity as he was well in the running to getting as high as possible in derry city all time scorers.. I believe he isnt far behind Liam Coyle.. all the best mark in your recovery a class act..

Hope everything goes Okay for him, he is a very courageous man, he reminds me of the late Barry Kehoe who went through cancer and played on after he got the all clear.

Derry have been missing his goals, but the league has been missing a gentleman and a wonderful player. Keep fighting the good fight, and see you next year. God bless.

Good luck Mark.

A nicer lad you couldn't meet either. Puts a bit of perspective on things.
