I know people say Trap is conservative and his tactics boring. It's usually when he loses his temper at press conferences that the real Trap comes through. A guy who despises pampered players who are injured all the time and who prefers workhorses like Dieter Hammon who give their all over flashy players.
Clearly he believes when his team fails, it's not because of his instructions but a failure by the players to listen to his instructions.

Legend, if only we had him 10 years ago, we'd have a European Championship at least in the bag by now.

I really liked this Vincent Hogan article (http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/euro-2012/irish-news/charlton-and-trapattoni-common-ground-for-old-hands-3131361.html) comparing Trap and Big Jack.

Interestingly though Dieter Hamann recently criticised Trap's thoroughness and monotony of training sessions, referencing the fact that they could spend an hour and a half at training just taking throw ins.
Still though, think he is one of the greatest things ever to happen to Irish football.
