A quite obscure bookie www.casineto.net (who I have an account with!) somehow have priced up the games for the round after next yet do not have the weekend games priced up!

Bohemians - St. Patricks 1.35 4.09 7.20
Bray - Dundalk 2.70 3.15 2.25
Derry City - Sligo 1.65 3.35 4.59
Drogheda - Galway 2.20 3.15 2.75
Shamrock - Cork City 1.95 3.15 3.30

I'm tempted by two bets that I think will quite likely be lower everywhere by kick off ... Sligo and Shamrock Rovers. any opinions? I'd have Rovers at about 1.8 at home to Cork.

1.95 on Shamrock Rovers is big alright.

I've stuck a few quid on each of Sligo and Sham Rovers at those prices. Sligo to win or draw is EVS and I would not be surprised if Derry to win was greater than EVS on betfair by kickoff, though obviously a lot will depend on how Sligo and Derry fare in the meanwhile.

Definitely.

Not sure about Sligo getting the win but lower will probably be available so you could be able to trade it off on betfair.

I normally wouldn't trade off for the sake of it unless I placed the initiial bet on betfair also due to some breaking news that I expected to alter the market but by simply taking the value with the bookies I can win in the long run without laying off :)

Sligo to win or draw is EVS

Just to be accurate, it's us with a +1 HC but it's the same thing. Odds are 2.04 at the moment. 5 points on that for me.

Some of the odds on offer at PP seem very tempting this week.

Bray @ 7/2 against Sligo tomorrow night is tempting. Bray will be on a high after the Cork game and I fancy them to give Sligo a game. The win might be a stretch but this is the time of the season for "different" results.

Again Bray @ 10/3 against Pats on Friday I will def be putting a few quid on.

Harps @ 2/1 against Wexford, despite being down 6 first team regulars I do think with Youths home form we can take them. Also 11/2 draw/finn harps in ht/ft is sure to lose me some more money this weekend.

Finally my 4th mad bet of the weekend goes on Limerick to beat Waterford @ 5/2. I might even wait and put a Limerick win/O'Flynn to score anytime bet for the hell of it.

Surely they will balance each other out in some form or another, either that or the likelihood is I will be down a few yo-yo's this weekend.

Waterford worth a go @ 2.1?

Bohs @ 10/11 on Betfair?

brianw82

Actually, Bohs to win and 1 or 2 goals in the match @ 13/5 with Paddy looks quite attractive to me. Can't see this one being a goalfest at all.

Bohs @ 10/11 on Betfair?

Was thinking of doing a single on them but read that both Byrne and Deegan are out. Still, might do them in a small accum.

Accumulator tonight is Bohs, Pat's, Derry, Shels, Monaghan and Dundalk x Sligo @ about 40/1. Four out of six would be a moral victory.

With our two strikers out it's worth looking at our midfielders in the goal markets. David Cassidy looks worth taking on to me. 2 singles x 0.5 pts.

Anytime Goalscorer
D Cassidy @ 4/1

First Goalscorer
D Cassidy @ 12/1

Derry gone in and in for tonights game v Galway, now 11/10 on betfair, madness, that might be a fair price if game was on in Derry, but with them so short of goals (and strikers) I can see no reasoning behind this odds move.
I've laid Derry at 2.1 and also taken some of Galway at 4.5

Sligo Rovers draw or win in Derry is 2/1 with both Hills and Sporting Bet. That's even better than eL Bettor's initial odds! :o

Yeah, just checked that out. Oddschecker had the the odds in the wrong place! You're looking at 17/20 draw/win at best. Still reasonable, I'd say!

My 4.59 and 1.95 look good now :D

Sligo still look massive value at 10/3 Stan James, odds falling with a lot of bookies. 2/1 DNB Boyles also.

I got 4/1 with Hills and 5/2 DNB when they first went up!

You should be careful not to leave too much money in those foreign online bookies - some of them can disappear overnight.

Bwin, of all companies, closed my account and kept the money in it.

I had a similar experience. Paddy Power took all my money on the flimsy premise that for several months I couldn't pick a winner to save my life.

I assume that Bwin were looking for ID or something like that as they suspected that you were on your second account with them?

If you remove the word "foreign" I'd totally agree with you ;)

Long journey for Mervue on a Tuesday night. Anyone with thoughts on a handicap win for Waterford?
