--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DUBLIN CITY FC have added Shamrock Rovers' midfielder Jason Colwell to their player roster for the coming season.

The 29-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the Vikings having clocked up over 300 eircom League games in his career to date.

Said Vikings boss John Gill: "Jason is a class player. He's a good pro and his energy levels will suit our type of play. He's got nine years Premier division experience and that's something that will be of immense benefit to us as a team. He's a good quality signing and I'm sure he'll be a huge success with us."

Colwell goes into the Vikings squad for Sunday's away trip to Monaghan United.

"Player roster"? Jaysus lads give us a break. It's bad enough you go on about Vikings all the time. What's wrong with the word squad?

Good signing though. High fives all round, yeah, dude?
