You can look forward to some truly awful defending in our game against Drogheda.

Clear handball, not so sure about the corner.

Scandalous refereeing in the Sligo game, handed on a platter to them by the ref. Barrett should have been booked for the dive and then sent off for the handball. If O'Neill isn't fined for his comments it will just confirm how firmly entrenched the FAI are in the pigsty.

Terrible refereeing in the Sligo Rovers game. Never a peno and should not have been a corner......O'Neill must have been looking at a different match with those comments after the game.

At the end of the day can you honestly praise McKeon after that performance ? If anything he played well for Shams. People will say the subs made the biggest change in the second half, the referee would beg to differ, absolutly sick to the teeth of the standard of refs in this league.

I was waiting for O'Neill to start pi$$ing his hole during that interview.
What a wind up. It was written all over his face that he new they were gifted the 3 points by the referee.

From watching MNS we could have been beaten 6 or 7 nil by Dundalk if it wasn't for Barry Ryan

Well said Dave Barry and Rico!No dictionary required
The manager, the players and the supporters came out with great credit, last Friday, in a very difficult situation.
Its the chairman that has to look at himself and say If I cannot give those people a proper platform, I am not the man for the job
That’s the question that has to be answered now.
Doubtcha Davey also, spoke with the passion i'd expect.

That wasnt the first time this season Shamrock Rovers have got some very dodgy decisions.

Not to mention the two clear pens that Hancock didnt even flinch about, one MNS didnt even show and the other, a clear rugby/gaa blockdown that even Rico said was a clear pen!

and the funny thing was that one of the panelist said' fair play to rovers for grinding out a result' ... on a plate indeed, but thats what happens when u are top half...hope rovers win it tho...
A lot of people seem to very sure about the penalty from the footage- but I agreed with the panel in that it seemed unclear. You could see a bit of a swipe going in from the defender but not whether it connected.
As for the other bit- O'Neill had a point. The decision to award the corner looked to be wrong, but the decision to head it into the net rather than away from it was pretty poor also in fairness.

Was Dave McKeon the ref for Rovers Rovers? Cos if he was, he did the Bray Pats match last night and he didn't have a good game. He made some wrong decisions.

I thought he had a good game:D
Fair enough it wasn't conclusive from the footage that they had.
The corner was not a corner. I'm certain of it as i was sitting by the touchline at that end.
The penalty seemed harsh as well but I've seen the likes of them given before.
Looking back at it now though we had no composure at the back. There was no need for Keane to swing his foot at it the way he did. The Shams lad had his back to goal.
Peers lost his concentration for the og as well.
All in all we defended those situations like desperate men when cool heads were required. Symptomatic of a team that only has a few games left to avoid the drop I suppose.
All the above does not change the fact that the Ref didn't do his job in a fair manner. There can be no excuse for his incompetence on the night.
