i was just wondering who you lot think deserves the title. which of the few players on the team have imprssed you this year? i would have to say brian mccarthy for two of the best sendings off i have ever seen!:D and tom king for his sheer work ethic

Tom King for me the only reason that hes not playin as well at present is cos he is playin in the wrong position further up the field where he doesnt cause as much damage..Brian McCarthy runs him close though...

King or McCarthy from what I've seen. Probably King just gets the nod from me.

Brian McCarthy! Best player all season and always gave 100%.
for class i'd give it to glynn but not a team player.

True, Glynn probably has the most ability of the lot but the application has been lacking too often. We could be badly needing more goals from him yet.

emm i'd assume the most likely contenders are:
Brian McCarthy
Tom King
Garry Curran
Derek Glynn??
Liam lynch
Adriam murphy
Micheal lee
Dont think anyone else has been even vaguly consistantly good

Yeah that's it pretty much, though I think Shanahan has played very well in his few games. Not enough to justify a Player Of The Year nomination but a Player Of The Month contender definitely. O'Leary has been fairly decent as well I suppose.

i thinshanahan is as muc better keeper i hope we have him next year we look a lot safer in defence with him playing. danny misses a lot of crosses but on ocassion can be brilliant but not consistant enough.

im a keeper so i should know :D

I'll bow to your superior knowledge so Acorn. Shanahan would be definitely one of the ones to build around, we don't need a situation like this year with about 6 different keepers it did us no favours in the early part of the season.

yeah totally agree this season especially keeper wish has been a joke...

id keep the two of them if danny was content with being back up and have mcguinnes as the 3rd keeper what ever happened to garry cassin? he was good back in the day

Had a serious groin complaint that needed an operation. Not sure if he ever got it or not, there was a legal row about whether the club were going to pay for it as it was an ongoing condition rather than an injury he picked up whilst playing. Not sure if it was ever resolved but I think there was a bit of bad feeling there so I don't think he'd be too inclined to come back even if he was fit and asked.
