Drogs announce novel fund-raising idea
Drogheda United have announced a novel “Fantasy Football”-style marketing plan which would see members of the public pledging a sum of money by virtue of the performances by individual players in the Drogs’ first team during the forthcoming Premier Division campaign.
The Boyneside club badly needs to raise funds for the coming season after being forced to back down on their plan to impose a 100% increase on match ticket prices by pressure from fans’ groups.
