Much as id love Limerick to be the No.1 Munster club (i suppose two decades with that mantle in the 70's and 80's was quite impressive), i feel Waterford are the club about to take over Cork City in this regard. What an addition to any midfield Alan Reynolds is. Then you get the dream management team of Reynolds (two Alan Reynold's for the price of one. bargain of the century) and Master McGrath and you get a club with the ambition and coaching team to finally break the dublin stranglehold on the Eircom league.

My genuine fear is that Waterford will be relegated with Reynolds as their manager. It's something I fear because the eL needs more than just one Munster team.
Look at how Waterford blew hot and cold last season.
They're in a worse position now by my reckoning.

The odds are stacked alright ..... but he hasnt been given a chance yet. You can just write him off like that.

We definitely need two (if not three) teams from Munster in top flight. I really hope they sort out their camp.

Waterford don't really seem to have added to their squad apart from Rennie, and while he is an exceptional midfielder he acn't carry an entire team on his own, a team that has been depleted with a few players leaving.

The now have a manager with zero managerial experience, a director of football who's role within the club has not even been agreed upon other than he'll get to most games and train with the squad now and again.

They also have a chairman of questionable vision.

Could very well drop, but will probably take points off us on their way

I would be very surprised to see Waterford get relegated this season. They still have a good side and i am sure Reynolds and Mc Grath could do a good job.Neale Fenn is a huge loss for them.Hopefully they will do ok for the sake of Munster..I think Dublin City will struggle and probably go back down...

One of the funniest threads in a long time.

Rory Sherrif.......I'd love to meet you before a game - I'd say your a laugh.

Seriously though, Waterford will find the going tough this season. They haven't brought anyone in of any great note and lost some good players in the meantime.

Reynolds will struggle as being a player manager does take from a players game - PREDICTION: Expect to see Reynolds on the bench more often than on the pitch.

As for McGrath ......... pure publicity stunt and nothing else.

The guy was a great player but never got involved in any type of coaching throughout his carrer. Will probably be used to raise cash during the year for the Club.

Hate to see them go down though, as the Munster derbys are the Biz.

I reckon they'll go down and I won't be a bit sorry to see the back of them. Keeper is a scumbag, the manager is a scumbag, the chairman is a scumbag, and the fans are plonkers.
