Do the FAI, still award caps to players for each game that they play in?

I know that this was the case but I'm sure I read that some countries now only awards caps for a player 1st game along with their 50th, 100th etc.

Any ideas?

think I read before that they give one cap at the end of the year with the games the player has played listed on it. Certainly remember Duff complaining about it, when all his England club mates get one cap per appearance.

It has always been one cap per season.

Most countries don't give out actual caps. I think it used to be these islands and Chile. I'm not sure if that is still the case.

England used to have a similiar system and certainly didn't give out 1 cap per appearance but maybe that has changed.

In rugby players just get one cap no matter how many times they play for their country.

The England cricket team number each player individually too, don't they?

And why do the Chileans give out caps?
