theres a reason for the longford town scarf making an appearance.. Pat Hourican is a big Town fan and is up on the lotto tonight.. I went to college with his son in sligo in the mid nineties.. His son plays goalie for one of the local district league teams...

Last minute equalizer from Limerick could yet again cost Shels the league...!

And I take it Roves are the newly formed rivals of Shamrock Rovers ?

Ah no. :(

Despite winning 5-0, this is an awful weekend for us. Newstalk reported 2-1 to Kildare and Limerick with five minutes to go, then came back with 3-2 in each. Now Waterford have gone 1-0 up with nine men.

(Also 5-0 is our joint record away win)

I did, but that doesn't make it not an awful weekend.

Yes, it was nice youz dropped points, but there was a great chance of all three leaders losing, so two points where nine were possible is a bit disappointing.

In fairness you would always fancy Fingal and Waterford to pick up wins this weekend. In fact I thought UCD were the team we could look to to drop points this weekend but look whats happening there.:(
EDIT: I see what youre saying now actually.

Yeah, I was shocked that Kildare were leading, but when it was 2-1 with minutes to go, I was hoping they'd at least drop two points. Ditto hoping Waterford would drop two points down to nine men for an hour.

The leaders slipping up = a great weekend for you.

The worst penalty decision of all time gifted UCD the lead after Harps completely dominated the opening 20 minutes.
Conaghan had one of his efforts cleared off the line, Funston was denied twice by outstanding saves from Barron and McLaughlin had a goal bound effort blocked by McMillan, all within the opening 20 minutes.
The game was pretty even up until half time when McMillan had a free header to make it 2. After that UCD took complete control and they had 2 cracking goals in the second half.
Harps in reality had the same amount of chances throughout the course of the game but the more clinical UCD showed why they are now top of the table and we showed why we are in the bottom half.
UCD are the most impressive side I have seen in FP this season with Waterford a close second.

No, the league leaders slipping up is a good result. A great weekend would have been three great results, all of which were on with 20 minutes to go in the respective games. The three challengers dropping 2 points is clearly much worse than the three challengers dropping nine points.

Evan McMillan scored on 44' and Ciaran Kilduff hit a shot from outside the box to make it 3-0 on 47'. The ref did help us with the start by awarding the penalty, the second penalty awarded to UCD at Finn Park this season. When Finn Harps were relegated in 2005(?) UCD got a penalty both times they went up there aswell.
David McMillans fourth goal was the bestest. Cross came over and McMillan let the ball go behind him before he swivelled and hooked the ball back into the far corner. UCD played their best football at 5-0.

"More goals than fans.
More goals than fans."
Actually that isn't quite true, there was a few heads knocking about.
