Only half way there though. Wexford did these 3-2 in morton last season around this time of the season so hopefully they can nick a win or draw here.

You should have your own psychic show so. Ach if Fingal had won or drawn tonight it would have given us a better chance of catching Wexford. I feel guilty for wanting them to lose though as am working with Conor Synnott all day tomorrow and when text him earlier I wished him luck but told him I would rather sporting fingal win. oh well.

Wexford played ok rode our luck at times few goal mouth chances for Fingal an attempt at an hand of god as well. Wexford hit the post in the second half but before that should have had a pen but ref bottled it and gave a corner. Overall an ok game but a great result for Wexford

That decision to give a corner was ridiculous, all the Wexford players were walking back to their own half when they realised it wasn't going to be a penalty because Sheehan had so obviously kicked the ball out as he was pushed over, the Fingal defender was never in a mile of it, it was bizarre. Great win for the Youths despite Fingal having a few scrappy chances I never really felt like they were going to score, and Shane Dempsey was so unlucky with the header off the post, he had to make a fantastic leap to get his head to it and it looked in all the way. Decent game overall, though neither team played much free flowing football, Sheehan really looks full of confidence now and you can see why he was so highly rated.

Kildare won away to Longford tonight 2-1. I believe that puts them into double figures for the season.

They are only 7 points off ye aswell, so they have just as much a chance of catching ye, as they have of catching Mervue
