I think hes only about 18. If a £1m transfer is involved, does this mean monaghan get a considerable compensation of this fee (some recent fifa ruling?) considering he spent a lot of his footballing time here and only moved over to wolves not too long ago???

Its being looked into.

The main thing to say here is congrats to Mark on making such a great move. It has been in the pipeline for some time and its great to see it come into being.

Good man Mark.

That's mad. I remember his dad asking me to get some shots of him while playing for Ireland in ATS not that long ago. Now he's worth a million quid!

Yeah I know. Its even madder for us. We like to believe all our young lads are talented enough to move to greater things but its kinda weird when it actually happens!

We have a few more young fellas that are in the shop window at the moment so its very exciting.

Very talented player alright. Hopefully he can go the whole hog and become a star of the Premiership and get to pull on a senior Ireland jersey.

Any money brought in is spent towards our developments mostly so while that will in the long term increase our potential to spend on players, for the foreseeable, we will be maintaining a level headed approach to budgeting.

We were delighted that without increasing budgets we were able to perform as highly as we did this year and all credit goes to Mick Cooke, Pat McGibbon, Brendan Kennedy and our team. As a coaching team the 3 men mentioned were a dream and a great deal of praise goes to Brendan for the development work he did with our goal keepers while playing some cracking games himself.

Well I'm only looking at it from afar but it's nice to see a few lads making into the 1st team who are local, and who came through the system.. and if you could have sorted out the start to the season then who know's what could have been the final league position - results were very positive though towards the latter end of the season and plenty of goals

Yeah we really are pleased with the season, if only it could have been longer and the first few months disregarded!

as mark's switch was settled out of court , I was just wondering if we had a knock-on fee. I presume we had something based on U21 and full caps and also first team appearances and % of sell on etc..... without talking figures, did we lose all this?
