Any one know much about ballinasloe town,

i hear they are pretty good.

Ballinasloe are pretty good, good underage setup, have large squad with up to 20 players around the same, good setup with astro turf pitches and training pitch and main pitch with stand. Suprised they have not gone further in FAI Junior but that is prob because at home (in Blsoe) they are good and will beat most teams but away form home they are easier to beat!

Football in Roscommon is still the poor relation to Mayo, Galway and Sligo/Leitrim. Yes, there has been wonderful occasions like Ballinasloe Town (from Co. Galway) winning the Connacht Cup last year and Cloonfad Utd (in Co. Mayo, Co. Galway, Co. Roscommon) having their wonderful cup run a few years ago. Some of the clubs are from Co. Galway, therefore it is not truly a Roscommon League.

Thunderblaster were u from 80 % of the teams have a good pitch , dressing rooms and 4 clubs have flood lights with more on way there is clubs in galway mayo sligo that don't have dressing rooms those teams that are from galway are in the league because its a good league and they don't have to travel to far to play football

thats why its called the roscommon and district league you monkey!!!

i dont think its a lilttle sister to mayo, over the last two seasons, the top two roscommon teams have gotten further than the mayo leagues in teh connaucht cup.

castlerea celtic and ballinalsoe town are a match for any mayo/galway side on their day. remember castlerea celtic used to play in the connaucht senior league as well.

i dont agree with your assertion at all mate, and the facts back that up.
Last season CC final Abbey V Castlebar Celtic. You need to re check your facts. As far as I know only one Ros team has won the CC and they are ex Galway. Ros would be the poorest league in Connacht but with only one or two good teams. I cant remember any team form Ros winning any Connacht underage titles over the last number of year. Could be wrong.

Ballinasloe won Connacht cup couple od seasons back adn have a decent record in under age in Ireland getting to last 16 in a couple of u17, u15 all ireland cups, But the overall standard is not strong in the league
