I kinda guessed that there was a few that did go to the games that were on the site but its been pretty quiet in relation to talkinga bout the trips etc. There is only so much you can take of talking of how Andy Reid should be in the squad etc. I know its the craic and the memories that I will always remember from the trips rather than the tactics etc although the results and the craic and tactics are part of the same thing.
Thats an interesting point you have touched on there. I reckon a lot of people just go on trips for the sake of going away on a buzz up etc. The match is of second importance, in fact I have found htat there are two types:
Those that go for hte **** up and the craic, sing-songs in the pub etc
Those that use the away trip as an excuse for a holiday to go to somewhere they may not have been before(with or without the significant other) and do sightseeing etc.
Ive still really to meet a person that just solely goes for the game and cheering on the Boys In Green solely*.
*Ive never met gspain ;)

I'd definitely be in the second category, but I wouldn't see the game as of secondary importance. It is the reason you're there after all.
Made it out to Sofia and took in Bucharest with it this campaign. But this wasn't a travel-friendly group, and apart from Mainz, there was no real opportunity to go to any others, for numerous reasons. There is still the play-off factor though.
Would have loved the North's group, even though we've been to some of them before, and their fixture list was a bit of a sham, travelwise. Hopefully, the next group announced in February will be better for us. As usual, we're bound to get one of the countries in this group again though.

I thought this group was fantastic for travelling. It was a pity we did not get to Georgia though. Montenegro was fascinating, Bari was great and was happy it was there rather than Milan or Rome. Was not looking forward to Cyprus but turned out to be a great trip. In the end unbeaten away from home and all of the trips were fantastic with probably Sofia been the worst but still good.
Didnt go to Cyprus cos I had no interest or enough money to going back there
and unfortunately couldnt make the Georgia/Monty as I started a new job not
long before it and they had already gave me extra time off for the Norway
freindly as I had it booked before I got the job offer.
Made it to Oslo, Bari, Sofia and London this time around.
(and of course the 2 games in Limerick)
