Good goals for Morrison Gibb and Ventre, but that penalty was very harsh.

It was good to see some highlights of the international, I'm surprised there was a round of fixtures at the weekend due to the game in Cyprus...

I think I saw that picture before in the Panini Sticker Album of 1992/3 as I recognise the kit!:D
Very poor crowd in the Shed at the Cork game.
Poor crowd overall, only just over 2000.
Our 2nd goal wasn't done justice at all on it, probably our best goal of the year and a lovely move.
Is it me or do mns really vary their length times of the highlights in games.

Hoops boycott of Foot.ie just like their plans to own a ground - Hoopless dreams.:)
I suspect the allegiance of the presenter on MNS may influence the discussion and as a result it does often end up as a Hoops love in.

Can we keep the thread on topic instead of veering off towards a Bohs v Rovers row (or love in )?
Thanks!

Did anyone else notice the fancy-pants camera angle they used for a replay of O'Connor's shot in the Shams game? Is this RTÉ actually investing in decent coverage of the LOI, or was it provided by Shams. Either way, I've never noticed t before

It would not be the same without you (probobly a lot better !). Glad to see there is one Hoop that has a sense of humour (even if you wont be laughing after the 2nd) :D

What a bunch of moaners. I think MNS is great and its good to see the presenter is passionate about the league. Shams and Bohs are top of the league and thus deserve most of the coverage. Same in every league.
Some people are never happy.

Actually, Bohs are top of the League (and long may it last). The presenter is not passionate about the league he is passionate about Shamrock Rovers, that is the problem for some people.
i honestly dont care that he supports Rovers but it does seem like the panel last year as a whole failed to give Bohs proper recognition for the style and ease of the League and Cup win last year. Thats what grates me but i love watching the show (rovers bias or not ;) )

I should hope that the anchor of the league's highlights show is passionate about it. What would you prefer? Dunphy? O'Herlihy?
Having a LoI supporter as anchor doesn't mean the show should be above criticism. Overall, MNS is a huge improvement on what went before, but it sure could do with a heap of further improvement itself, not least in the objectivity department.
If its presenters and pundits want to promote their clubs as fans, let them do as the rest of us do, and join foot.ie.

I suspect they took their footage from TG4's coverage. A pity Barry Ryan's save from Dan Murray wasn't shown in the City highlights, but I suppose they did have about 6 goals more than usual to show from the Cross.

And you speak on his behalf do you?
As i said , an awful lot of moaners on here. Here is a novel idea for you - some a bit of optimisim for a change.
This thread is boring now.

Avoided this thread until I could watch the show last night as was worried it would spoil it for me. Ummm. Needn't have worried.
Felt great listening to the rather positive updates from Richmond, thought that maybe last night we could have nicked a winner and made things better.

I dont need to as he has never made any secret of his allegiance (the various clips of him at games in Tallaght were a bit of a giveaway as well). Not sure how pointing out his allegiance is pessimistic or moaning - simply stating a fact (known to 95% of viewers).
MNS is a huge improvement on previous coverage, no question, but is far from perfect.

That because unlike the live matches we've been treated to this season they have a tendency to not focus on bohs? :p

While I can understand you linking "perfect" to "Bohs" ;) i'm afraid not. Coverage is good but often too short on game footage with two many silly add ons (hotshot and that singing thing they did).
As I said it is an improvement on what was there in the past (IE pretty much zilch) but could be better.
