Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 3-1 to the Galway Boys!

Murphs got number 3

To think we are missing Gutsie, Derek, Davoren, and Russell, and the club is an absolute shambles, this result couldn't have come at a better time

All hail Ian Foster

This is unbelievable. How did we score three goals??! Before tonight we had scored 3 goals in 5 matches!

And we're without O'Brien, Guthrie, Russell and Davo.

We also have no proper training pitch, the one we are using is pi** poor.

This has to be one of the shocks of the season if everything is taken into account- dire financial straits, about 14 fit players, missing several star players, no proper training pitch and we still romped Derry

I'd just like to say fair play to the players and management. A big trek up to Derry on a Tuesday night, they showed what Galway United is really about tonight. One Dundalk fan said on foot.ie today that we had no business in senior football, but the players showed tonight Galway United FC is alive and well. (on the pitch at least)

All hail Ian Foster http://galwayunitedfc.net/public/style_emoticons/default/th_notworthy-1.gif , surely a contender for Manager of the Season with everything considered.

That's the performance and result of a club in crisis. Pitiful. Fair play Galway, they sounded like great goals from the commentary and I'm not trying to take anything away from them, but abysmal result from our point of view. We've won fewer than half our home games this season, losing 4, to Sligo, Dundalk, Drogheda and now Galway.

Fantastic results for Galway and Sligo.

It's results like tonights in the Brandywell that make the efforts of travelling to away matches worthwhile - I envy those Galway fans who were there.

No mean feat for Sligo to defeat the best team in the league.

I'm still trying to figure out whether I am happy or sad about the Brandywell result!

Very same boat here! Galway are only 3 points behind now. Hopefully we can do the business against Derry but we need to follow that up by beating Cork aswell.

A galway and Sligo double would be decent odds in any bookies.

It's a good result for us. With Pats and Galway picking up points, we have to do the same. 3rd spot is there for the taking with Derry and Cork imploding.

Bad results for the Droggies though.

Rovers couldn't have hoped for better results, surely they now have renewed hope for the league?
Galway really must be loving the fact they can tell Kenna to slap it right up, 2 points ahead of Pats now.
Massive win for Sligo tonight, their position was looking extremely dodgy there for a while and no-one else thought they were capable of getting anything out of that game never mind a win.
All in all a dramatic night in LOI and it actually happened on the pitch, very encouraging.

could be something to do with the 160 goals in 360 games, not sure...

though i agree he is not as prolific as he was before.

Congrats on the victory by the way.
