Hi all,

Can't make it to Cyprus this weekend as on a stag in Killarney so was hoping somebody with local knowledge could recommend a good spot to watch the match?

There's 16 of us and it'll be a relatively quiet group or as quiet as 16 people can be who are supporting Ireland in a do or die match (i.e. no messers in the group).

Just looking for somewhere we can settle in for a couple of hours beforehand for a few pints, which won't be too packed and where we can hear the commentary and see the screen without too much stretching. If it had a pool table/dartboard for the afternoon then so much the better.

One of the lads heard McSweeneys could be good as has 8 screens but afraid it mightn't be what we're after so any help much appreciated and will quite happily buy a pint on Saturday night for anyone who can point us in the right direction.

Thanks in advance! :D:D

Scott's Hotel (pretty much town centre) is a decent spot. I'd imagine there'd be a big enough crowd for the game but they've a few TV's so it should be ok. No pool table.

Jades bar is a local sports bar with a pool table and a dart board and is a great spot and sounds exactly what you are looking for.

Mustang Sallys is also an excellent option. Bigger and easier to find. Mixture of locals and visitors as opposed to Jades which is mostly locals.

The Tatler is a big GAA bar and is always busy for any sort of a big game of whatever sport.

The kube is a kind of a super bar with plazma screens galore.

I could go on and on. Theres no shortage of choice in Killarney anyway.

Thanks for the tips lads. Either of you know McSweeney's at all, any opinions on it?
KK, Jade's sounds pretty good alright. You going to be there?

McSweeneys is ok. Bit of an ol mans bar. Went there with my ol man a few times or else after the races as the family are big in to horses. The daughter is a fine looking young one. If I was going in with a few lads with would be well down the pecking order for me.

Jades is good. Kind of a small place but always a good atmosphre. Its on new street hidden away behind Irish Nationwide. It never find it if you were'nt looking for it.

I'll be in Dublin this weekend.
