Heading in tomorrow to buy a new laptop for the Mam, probably in PC World as it's handier.
Looking for a good, cheap, easy-to-use and no frills one, purely for internet, that's still a wee bit future insured in terms of speed and capacity.
Would be most pleased if someone could give us a hint as to what kind of MHz (or GHz) and GBs I should be looking for as a minimum these days.

I was going to start the same thread. :)

I've been told to get a laptop with a dual core processor or something like that. Makes it run much faster.

I'm looking for a new machine myself, and I'm currently torn between these 3 laptops:

There's another version of that Packard Bell one that comes with bluetooth built in, very tempting

Ta both, enough there to point me in the right direction, got one today. Tidy little Advent for half nothing. God they've come down in price since I got my one!

Anybody got any views on this laptop?

There's a free upgrade to Windows 7 if you buy in PC World.
