Wondering if any Glens fans can shed light...
Looking forward to the game on Saturday, but a little apprehensive about parking (I've missed the club buses and of course the trains are off).
Is it crazy to drive and to park there with an RoI reg., or am I being paranoid? And does anyone know if there are tickets at the gate?
Ta in advance.

I've parked at the Oval with a southern registered car a few times and never had a problem incl an U19 UEFA qualifier NI v RoI and the Shels champions league game there.
It is not in the nicest part of Belfast by any means. Best to park early close to the main entrance and walk around to the away end (bit of a walk).
You could park in a city centre multistorey and get a bus/taxi if you are really concerned.

Park on the Sydenham Road on up from the Odyssey complex. I presume the away entrance will be open. Only a couple of minutes walk and safe for parking.

There'll be no problem parking anywhere around the Oval with a Southern reg.
The Odyssey info is probably the most convenient, assuming you're approaching Belfast at from the M1. Follow the 'Westlink' (A12 - which is a continuation of the M1) to M3 (which is essentially one bridge) and take the (left) slip road for Queen's Island (just on the other side of the bridge) and turn right at the junction at the lights (approx 50m). It's a long road with plenty of parking.
The Oval is less than half mile away (across an old red-bricked bridge).
No tickets at gate for Glens fans (not the case for Bohemian's, though).

As long as he stays away from any jobless pan-stickied wastrels with dry ice for deodrant, he'll not have the pleasure of your company.
