With the draw tonight, 9 teams left and as per league table we are the weakest, so who do we want? A decent pay day or a chance of going through to semis. To win, really only the other first division teams and maybe Bray if were at home would be a chance. Sligo would be a decent gate home or away, Tallaght or Dalyer would be good to.

Well I'm still pi$$ed I missed de Galway match because I was at the stupid Gaeltacht... So Rovers or Bohs away in which we win by a goal scored in the last 5 minutes would be nice!

Sligo or Pats at home please. Only if Pats go through though!

I'm kind of in two minds about a home draw. We may have a better chance of winning though that's debatable but I don't have any faith in us getting a crowd. If we were to lose you'd like to get someone you'd make a few quid out of. Rovers away or Sligo home or away would probably get a decent crowd. Fingal or Bray would be the worst possible draws I think. Waterford wouldn't be great either.

Bray at home! Poor enough for money making, but one of the best chances of advancing!

Bray at home. Happy enough with that.

Great chance of getting to the semi's for ye. Can't say the same for us:(.

Could be worse alright. Hopefully we can push it a bit around the town and get a decent enough crowd out. Bray won't bring many I wouldn't think but we definitely have a chance of going through.

We may have a chance of beatin bray as bray are blowin hot and cold but they got a good result against sligo rovers. heres an interestin stat for you its the first time since 1956 since we have met Bray in the FAI Cup.We lost two nil away in the first round. As my next project will have to get the match report of it..

Overall for progression its a nice draw as for drawing a crowd eh no..

Sligo would have beaten us about 5-2 if it wasn't for Skippy in goals. We have huge injury problems at the moment, and a lot depends on whether Eddie Gormley plays our best team against you, risking further injuries.

If our best team is picked, and play well, we should be able to win. Anything else, and you'd be right to fancy your chances.

it's probably the draw both teams would want for a chance of progressing to the semis, well Longford at home for us, but away will have to do.

On paper we should have the upper hand, but Cup football always supplies a few shocks - as per your result in Terryland last time out so you just never know.

If we play our strongest side, which i'm 100% sure we will then i have every faith that we will progress (sure i have to say that !) but it won't be a clear cut match for either side. The good news for Bray is that we have started to find the net again recently and our defence has become a lot tighter.

We will bring 50/60 at most i would say, wont do anything to boost your coffers. Financially a reply would be great for both clubs.

You'll surely bring more than that - if the game was in Bray I'd expect us to have 200 at least for a last 8 game.
It would be a bad show if there wasn't a 1000 for a cup quarter. Big push needed by FAI and both clubs to promote this game.

Who did we beat in the quarters in 2007?. I'm gone blank.

In a perfect world we would bring 600/700 hundred but that aint the case, last season for our 1/4 final reply against Galway (2 Premier Division clubs) there was only about 400 in total in the Carlisle Grounds for it. Shocking stuff !

If your looking for a big gate them it'll be the home fans that will make it a big gate. Now if we had of been away to Bohs or Rovers i reckon we could have brought 150 upwards.

We just don't have the hardcore support to bring 200+ down to Longford :(

If i answer that honestly i'll be banned for using the F and C words too much :D

No matter what we've done we struggle to get people in the gates, only when we are successful do people come out in numbers.

I was just thinkin last night Ex Town player Daire Doyle is playing for Bray. I always had respect for him and Im sure he will get a good town welcome.. His good mate Stephen Gough had three spells with Bray and Ray Kenny had two spells with Bray.. Goughie is playin the best football of his career since he has being moved in front of the back four considering the way his bray career ended Im sure he will be well up for it.. Cant think of any other players that have played for both clubs thats on the current panel..

There aren't many other clubs based right in the middle of their town/city.

Take Derry for example. The Brandywell is in the middle of their support area and they get a good few thousand.

And Bray are in the middle of the second biggest town in Ireland and get rubbish attendances.

I knew Coughlan was training with you, it was a few weeks into the season when we signed him. But i thought Dane was with us the past 2 seasons, are you sure it wasn't his brother who we released last year ? not sure myself but thought Dane was with us before the start of last season.

We've just re-signed Gary Cronin and if memory serves me correct that makes it 2 each on the ex-player front. Any word on the day of the game? If it's saturday or sunday will have to get work off
