City fan's Champions League tattoo - for 2011 (http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1132137_city_fans_champions_league_tattoo__for_201 1)
August 17, 2009

OPTIMISTIC Blue Kirk Bradley is so sure of Manchester City's success next season that he's had a tattoo announcing them as Champions League Winners for 2011.

The Premier League season is barely underway but already the 25-year-old is so confident that not only will his team qualify for the Champions League this time round but that they will win it at their first attempt next year.

So football-mad Kirk decided to have 'Manchester City 2011 Champions League Winners' permanently tattooed on to his body - even though they only finished 10th last year. And although he admits his prediction is somewhat premature Kirk thinks it's an entirely realistic expectation for big-spending City - who have splashed out £100m on new players this summer.

His circa 90's jersey so how much the club means to him, has bothered to buy a new jersey since Niall Quinn was at the club, real fan.

In fairness the guy is obviously a tool but if your quote is how you evaluate 'real' football fans, whatever one of those is, then you are not far behind him.

I'd prefer to have a nice retro jersey like that than a new one that everybody else has any day. I'd have 'Quinn 9' on the back and everything!! Just remembered your man David White there as well, he had his moments- remember him scoring 2 class goals against Liverpool back in the RTE live days, or maybe it was deferred 30mins. Keith Curle popped into my head as well when I saw the jersey.

Of course, real fans burn last year's jersey when the new one comes out.
