...which reminds me of a similar song (about texts) by Bill Bailey:
"You texted me on a Monday,
To tell me it was over,
But I did not understand-
Because you used Predictive Text

And it was-
Jrrg gruuh nnmmg guu hmmg doo doo doo..."
I remember that one - it's from Part Troll, about the pathetic, whinging nature of a lot of modern American rock.
"How can I feel pain,
How can I feel pain,
When you're being so supportive."

Designing websites (mainly sport-related) so that when you first go there, it's all advertising with a tiny 'enter site here' in a corner.

Going through wikipedia and adding [citation needed] or [by who?] or [weasel words] to articles. It's wikipeda ffs, leave it alone. Nobody should be relying on it for anything anyway.

People who say "No pressure then!!!" in commenting to a situation that tends to have a high level of pressure involved - like bomb disposal.

These people will also think this reference is both hilarious and archly insightful.

Wolfie: "I have to diffuse this bomb or loads of people will die".

Idiot: "No pressure then"

Wolfie: "You've pushed me over the edge. Everyone must die. Cutting red wire"

I actually listened to it there.

At the end he goes "when you get that start of season feeling" or something along those lines.

You or any other barstoolers will never experience a REAL start of season feeling.

calling football players or sports-people by their first name. Really bugs me. It takes a certain type of **** to do it too.

"I see Fahey did really well there at the weekend"

"ah yeah, Keith has always been a decent player"

I've never refrigerated ketchup, but went looking for some expert opinions. The third post here is interesting:
http://msgboard.snopes.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=108;t=000396;p=1

To summarise, Heinz say you don't need to but refrigeration keeps the flavour better, while some Food Safety Specialist bint reckons that everyone's wrong and it can spoil if you don't. I reckon her kids play in a sterile bubble with glass-coated toys.

I read that entire thread and at the end had a moment of insight and realised I was hunched over a computer on a Thursday night reading about ketchup storage.

I'm off to read a book. Or talk to someone.

Anyway, I'm finished talking about ketchup because really, I don't care :).

Did you even read what I wrote, or the link I posted? Heinz, when contacted, said it wasn't necessary, but preserves the flavour better.

That used to drive me crazy in Japan. At football games and baseball games, there were 'chant coordinators' stationed around the ground, and they either gestures to each other or were in radio contact to ensure that they got their section to chant at just the right moment. They didn't even watch the game, just faced the crowd the whole time.

People who utter the most hurtful and rude comments and absolve these comments as "just being honest" and being a "straight talker" who "calls it as I see it".

This loose definition of "being honest" is usually a mode of bullying, rudeness or just plain idiocy.

Whatever happened to minding your own f*cking business???????

I've found that these very people are the ones who usually can't take what they dish out - as I tend to retaliate with my own brand of honesty to these people. It saves time.

No, - obviously if its a conversation where an opinion is asked for, its a different set of circumstances.

I'm more talking about a situation where someone just belts out an unsolicited opinion whether you asked for it or not and then justify the tirade as "being honest".

the brother-in-law i mentioned in an earlier post in this thread which i believe was deleted and i know i was infracted for is one of these people. Likes to give advice on parenting even though him and his wife (my fiances sister) have no kids. Thats just an example. He gives unsolicited opinions on everything. He was obviously ignored by his parents as a child and was bullied in school.
