I'm looking to do a comparative between fees here and fee's at home. I haven't considered it for a while, just I knew it was always cheaper here but how and ever I seem to remember a hell of a difference between what I pay here and what was asked for at home.

I'm in my 2nd year of my MSc and have just moved Uni's. I do it part time so one day a week in Uni. The fees last year were £1500 for me in Birmingham and at University of Derby that figure is £2,200 for the year. Same plan, a one day part time MSc.

So what would an equivalent Msc in Ireland cost then?. The figures I remember may well have been for full time programmes so I'm not sure. Has anybody got any ideas then on what are average costs in respective countries.

I paid 3.5k for each year of my part-time MSc with NUIG, and that was with the government stumping up half of it.

Thats not bad Aidan. If its part subsidised then thats a much lower price than I had anticipated. The problem was I couldn't get a course that took me through directly to the qualification I wanted at home so in moving here I decided I would take it on. Surprisingly the number of outlets were scarce offering the course but at least both seen you straight through to the qualification which woud have taken 7 years at home. However hard 3 more are to face, 6 years would be too much.

For some reason I had in my head that the fee's difference was absolutely worlds apart.
