Any web designers out there? Working on this..

and using 1024x768. When I open it up on a pc with 1280x1024 resolution, there's a lot of white space. What's the best size to work by? Working on Dreamweaver...

1024px is the correct resolution to develop to for the moment, so your container should be set to 950px or therabouts, to cater for browser chrome. Whitespace is just one of those things you have to deal with, with a tiled background, a more neutral colour, etc.

Trying not to go down the tiled background route, but it comes up perfectly on a 1024x768 which is what most people seem to use...
