Stevo has agreed terms, and is due to sign with Cork today. What with him, Sweeney, Keatso, gone to other clubs, Twitch going to Oz and several other squad members stalling on signing, the situation doesn't look all too rosy now, does it?
Still, we have this €100,000 limited company spearheaded by Messrs Purcell et al to guide us thru the storm and bring us closer to everlasting life.....phew....Thank God...for a minute there, I thought the club was going to be in serious trouble....

Thought that Stevo was gone allright but held out hope for Sweens..****ed off now he was our best player by a mile and a lovely fella to boot!!
No great news from the meeting other than what we knew already company is being set up with 3 directors ..you know who they are. Another meeting is promised for tues week same time same venue. Must say it looks all set up and the only discussions were around lack of communication to the members. THis was promised to be improved!!

I have asked a solicitor to check out the legality of the three amigos taking an automatic controlling share of a business on foot of contributions they may or may have not made over the years. His initial reaction is that theres no legal way in hell they can do this unless there are accounts which show that monies they have invested were loans to the club which were repayable. As an amateur club up to this point with no status, any monies given to the club would be deemed non repayable charitable contributions, just like fans buying jersies or paying their €10 to watch the game.
Bt the way of contributions, Michael O'Sullivan has in fairness coughed up a fair amount, and Ralph too. But to say that JP has contributed €10K of his own dosh to the club and now wants it back is laughable.Either way, they have no claim on monies they invested in the past. It should be a whole new ball game.If they want 30%, then let them put a fresh €30K in. Then I might start listening to them.

Should the supporters club not be looking for a share in the new company?

Looks like we're up **** creek now. Wouldn't be surprised to see more leave at this stage. The committee are a disaster though - this limited company avenue should have been pursued ages ago, last season even. Doing it now is too late, as usual.
