Anyone have any facepacks or club logos for LOI in FM 2010?

Note for people who downloaded the patch and installed it manually, this boxes your steam account and so means you have to have the disk at all times when playing the game, which makes steam even more of a worthless pile of garbage than it already is

To be honest I like the game but little things like that bug the hell out of me and I'm ready to jack in buying this anything from this franchise ever again

Agreed jebus, that steam account crap last year was a pain in the hole. I just don't see the point in it.

If they want to avoid multiple installations from the one disk, they could use the authentication code system used perfectly for Age of Empires III.

Maybe on the SI forum but you could do with losing a few of them from the gene pool anyway (try insulting Miles Jacobsen over there and see what happens, I imagine it's similar to saying the Jews aren't that bad at a far right convention)

haha steam was the reason i couldnt play 09 fortwo months :( why the hell should i need the internet to play the game!!?? the phone reg thing didnt work i spent a fortune on the line to the english costomer service croud because the irish one didnt work... arg.. still angry now!

The Mrs. got me this for Christmas but I'm having serious problems with installing it.

Basically, I install it as normal, the game starts up, but theres no icon on the desktop for me to click into, or its not in the list of things on the computer when I go into the start menu. The only place its listed on my laptop is by going into control panel and going to the list of programs there. So what I've been doing is installing it, and letting it start up automatically, and then leaving it open to click into whenever I want. Its just after crashing though and closing so its gone now again.

Sorry if that sounds very complicated but I'm not great with computers!

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm going insane with it at this stage.

Look in the 'Games' folder. I couldn't find it on my computer until I checked there, which took me a while because it never ended up there before with previous versions.

There should be an application there called football manager 2010 or fm, drag that to the desktop and there is your icon.

Tried that over and over but all thats listed under Sports Interactive is Football Manager 2007 which is the last one I had. Thanks for your help anyway!

Right click the football manager icon you use to start Football Manager and you should see the option to run the editor.

Im just here updating fm2010 for the LOI and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to chance our participants in Europe this season to the ones who will be playing Europe next year. And also, is there a way to add in the Leinster Senior Cup, I know its there already but is there any way to get it to include the LOI clubs

Have any of ye tried FM as a multiplayer? If so, is it in 3D?

What's the demand on your machine too for playing the game (I have an old 1.6 GHZ with 1GB RAM -which I can't upgrade)? I used to play FIFA Manager 09 which I really enjoyed but as I had a lot of leagues running it used to take at leas 10 minutes between each match day! Just wondering how FM compares for speed etc.

I also noticed on the trailer (linked from an earlier post) that the atmosphere and the game seemed subdued and that there was no commentary? I'll download the demo anyway to have a look.

I read reviews of Championship Manager 2010 and most people said that it was full of bugs so I'm going to avoid that. The multiplayer in FIFA Manager 2010 is apparently dumbed down and is also only text based.

Sometimes when you start editing the game crashes, anyone know if you start activating older competitions such as provincial cups will the game crash?

I spent nearly 6 hrs last night trying to organise a 2 tier league like Reiteoir with a 14 team PD and 16 team FD but every time I have the teans in the league it comes up max no prem teams 10 and max no first div teams 12. Any ideas on how to expand the amount of teams? Also do you need to connect to internet every time you want to play if you install with steam?

I have a problem with accepting International job offers. When a country offers me a job and I accept it I never actually become the manager of that country and they keep coming back offering it until I get sick of the offer and just decline it in the end!! Anyone else have that problem?

No you dont. I often play it without internet access. if you give it a few minutes, it comes up to go offline and u just sign in there and play it.

I just reached my first FAI Cup Final in my first season with Sligo Rovers and I drew 3-3 with Shams. Now the game has gone to a replay.
Is this some sort of error in FM?. I thought the cup final had ET & Penalties??

Downloaded Football Manager for the iPhone the other day. I've not really played it much yet, but it looks very like the PSP version.

I'd say it has the depth of CM2, but without the ability to sign Marcelo Salas for next to nothing at the start.

Hey if anyone is interested i made Cork an independent country. You can play as cork in world cup and european qualifiers. Stephen Ireland is out of international retirement too.
It has its own league structure with 3 divisions with qualification into the champions league and europa league.
