Galway United players will be delivering pizza in Galway next week.

The club recently blanked out the previous sponsors name from the jerseys due to non-payment and now American pizza chain, Pappa John's (which is operated in Ireland by Supermac's) has taken over as Galway United's main sponsor.

NO. It's a pizza delivery service. If you want to order a man, try a gay website.

This is a good promotion in fairness - one that works for both the club and the sponsor.

If more sponsors thought of creative ways like this to leverage their connection with an LOI team, the league would have a much higher profile.

...and Sligo are sponsored by a chemist shop but selling drugs on the street might be frowned upon.

Cork City could send their squad out to deliver some Beamish, though the odds are the customers would only receive 7.5% of what was ordered.

And secretly wish they were sponsored by Guinness.

As long as it contained the important ~4%, they might actually get away with it. For now.

Hmm, we'd be truck drivers I guess. Following in the footsteps of Town legend Colm Notaro aka "The Bald Truck Drivin' Man".

With the average age of the Harps squad being about 15 then it would probably be illegal to have our lads out working...

John Lester will be kicking himself he left Galway!

That was my first thought, although the chances of the pizza arriving would be pretty slim
