View Full Version : Support City On Friday
I know Ramblers have their own problems but we always got a load of support from Cork City fans and personally I think we should make it our business if at all possible to get to the City v Bray game on Friday Night. City are asking tha people buy tickets for the game in advance of Friday through our kiosk in Daunt Square and our club store at 22 Sullivan’s Quay. Anyone up for going?

You submitted no financial information (http://foot.ie/blog/footie-qa-padraig-smith/). They didn't get a licence ahead of you: they got a licence, you didn't complete the application.

they lied about there finacial inofrmation,
put our case next to citys, larger debth and larger revenue bill owed by city,
the only reason we have a A license and not a prem one, is we dont have a TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE from the revenue,
A league dont require finacial information AFAIK
anyway this should have happened last year,
It was funny when T.C took over, anyone outside of the picture frame could see how much of a spoof he is.IMO I think it would be better for Cork Pity to die away and reform from scratch with the supporters in charge.Pumping cash into that prats pocket only digs a bigger hole and delays their inevitable demise, besides we have our own problems but at least we can see the shore....

This lad is right hes not even from cobh yet hes takin the **** out of us for the pathetic attempt of unity on show here, our club is ****ed/near finshed and were trying to save city, OMG, IMO he couldnt have hit the nail any harder on the head as they say!! I'm pretty sure we didnt have a support ramblers thread when we were(still are) ****ed, why have a support city thread.
FTR im not tryin to be cheeky or anything only realisic i think el nino coro hit the nail on the head we cant support our own never mind even a online plea to support our own, yet now we are trying to save cork city through our forum to whom as i said never had a ave u campaign!! **** that any money any rams fan has give it to rams ahead of city, support your own.
I do hope though, that city can be saved!! I will end on that.

Let me hit that nail a little harder for you. I'm sure you meant to say 'won't support our own'. I don't see it as a pathetic attempt at unity at all. When Ramblers were in the premier div we got loads of support from them. Whenever their supporters were asked to play in firendly fundraisers and donate money to Ramblers, they never let us down. Always had about 22 players donating, and that was after a 'Help Save Ramblers' thread was posted on their own Cork City forum, however, when a similiar favour was asked and we were invited to play in the recent 5-a-side FORAS cup, the interest was so ****e we couldn't managed a side and that's what I'd call a pathetic attempt at unity, not starting a thread encouraging people to go to the City game on Friday night to try to help ensure that Cork at least have one LOI team next season. Bad, silly and stupid childish sacarstic attitudes are what I'd term pathetic attempts at unity. No-one here can save Cork City but we could at least support them in their efforts
**** that any money any rams fan has give it to rams ahead of city, support your own.
Spread the good word then!! There's a BBQ and Fun Day out coming up in August.

Luka get tom coughlans bank details so and send him on half your wages or a 100 euro if your on the dole,i somehow dont see you doing that fella.and as bella has said i am from the city not from cobh, all people from cobh should be more worried about picking their own club up from its knees and remember too cobh owned their ground cork city dont own a blade of grass out in the cross
Why would I wanna give TNB my money? I've already made my contribution to the City cause as did many others I met at the City demonstration at Kent Station this morning.
as bella has said i am from the city not from cobh
Eh!!
I can understand ppl been a bit saddened at the loss of the only Cork club in the league, but in fairness donating money?? Its in to T.C"S pocket hes a gangster end of-do not throw money at a sinking ship he has only one agenda and made himself clear on radio this morn
I agree. Give Tommy No Bobs nothing, but no harm is donating to FORAS. Saddened would be an understatement if you saw the faces of some of the City supporters at the Train Station this morning. I know we have our own problems but tis still a shame if City go under.
Anyway, they've today managed to secure a friendly against Celtic to aid with their finances.

Too little too late unfortunately.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if they got away with it today in which case there will be absolute uproar amongst the other clubs in the league.

What a load of nonsense.
I don't remember any City Fans laughing at Ramblers plight.
I do remember City fans playing you in a friendly in an attempt to raise money for Cobh though, and I do remember a load of City fans, myself included, travelling down to watch Cobh pay regularly through last season, putting money into your coffers.

speak for yourself now tiktok maybe you did support ramblers but i know plenty and i mean plenty not just a handful that some city fans are saying giving the club a bad name
on the other hand you had city fans who might not have been glad of the ramblers demise but still couldnt give a monkeys toss
i dont want to see city gone by know means but i find it sad that a club who are trying to rebuild themselves help out another club in distress
would this happen in dublin? you must me jokin
