So we have now sold Darren Foresyth, let John Flood go, Paddy has a pulled hamstring and is leaving and Paul Byrne is injured. There will have to be a move in the transfer market this week or i really think that we are doomed!

I was just coming on here to post the same thing but you beat me to it.

SURELY the club has to bring in at least 2 strikers before the window closes, with the way things are and at this stage of the season we need experience. If we don't bring them in we will go down, simple as that really.

The club has freed up a few quid in waages with the likes of Forsyth, Flood, Dunne and Robson leaving so there has to be someone out there we can bring in.

looks like all the that has been saved was spent on bringing over the , juventus superstar,, hope he can play up front .. but we do need to get two experienced strikers, who do cork have ,maybe they'll be going cheap and up for a challange..

They would be going for free if Cork are wound up.

He's not up to Premier Division standard so he is no loss to you.

I'd agree with you there.

And i ca't believe that the club would even think about bringing Emeka or Floody back to the club. Absolutely shocked and angry if that is true  Neither player are up to Premier Division level. Both players released for not being good enough and now bringing them back..... Says it all really about our club

On a slightly related topic, Franco played for us last night. Don't think we've signed him as yet anyways.

Very strange indeed, he only signed for Shelbourne last month....

I think he got released more or less straight away. Hasn't he bumped between clubs at this stage? Youz twice and Shels twice, maybe?

Just can't understand how a club can sign a player and then release him pretty much straight away, terrible management.

For all of Franco's talent and skill his attitude and lack of mental strength is his big downfall

Personally I think both players are at least as good as what we have so don't see the problem with them returning. Flood would add some height to the attack which is drastically lacking when Byrne is out, and Emeka has far more strenght to him than either Kelly or Mulroy, and a bit more height than O'Neill.
These are two players with something to prove after being released so we could do far worse, would much rather these two than a Ger Rowe type mercenary whose heart isn't in it and just here for a pay day

Yeah, delighted to see Floody back. Should have been given more oppurtunities before. I think Mulroy has shown very little when he has been on the pitch this season, can't do any harm bringing Emeka on instead.
