Every year i do me acca where I try to pick the winners of the 4 / 5 English divisions and CL. Maybe this year the World Cup also!!

Just wondering what opinions are out there, especially regards the divisions lower than Premier League.Difficult to know what signings / releases clubs in the lower divisions have made. I suppose betfair might be best place to get some info off local lads on the forum?

So anybody want to give their ew winners of the 4 English Divisions, The European Cup and the World Cup?

yeah we all do these bets
I usually wait till the excellent pre season review by FourFourTwo comes out, mid august - it really is an in depth analysis' to the coming season

Will the season not be started when it comes out?So far I'm thinking along the lines of:

Premier League: Man City ew????12/1
Championship: Middlesboro 7/1
League One: Leeds (nap) - though they are a little short 3/1
League two: Rotheram 7/1
World Cup: England 8/1
Champions League : R Madrid 5/1

A few there are probably a little ovbious and there are usually a few longshots that surprise everybody

Premier League: Man City ew????12/1

How many places are being paid out on? Coz I really can't see City in the Top 4 next season.

Only 1/3rd the odds on top two.So backing City probably would be a bit daft

in the other divisions its 1/4 the odds on top three

Yup pointless backing City so, definitely won't get into the Top 2. Will be between United, Pool and Chelsea again I think, impossible to call at the moment in my opinion.

I agree but Ronaldo will be a huge loss to Man ure. The betting without the top four looks interesting. Everton are 6/1 and it pays 1/5th the odds the top three. City at evens looks tight.

Thats a great price for Everton alright.

Everton are a good side but will they get in the top 3? I don't think so, much as I'd like to see it.

Wouldn't the best bet then be to do man city/everton then in the handicap market where they are usually given a 12/15 point start?
you def would get better odds

i won on this before, when i had Arsenal 2 seasons ago, with a 12 point start (as far as i remember - but that was the year they sold henry so nothing was expected)

I think Man United should win it and 2-1 on them is decent enough.

Sheffield United to finish top of the Northern group:

Newcastle 2/1

Middlesbrough 5/2

Sheffield United 9/2

Preston 9/1

Sheffield Wednesday 11/1

Doncaster 28/1

Barnsley 33/1

Blackpool 40/1

Scunthorpe 50/1

The teams ahead of them in the betting are too short. They look the strongest.Should be strong enough to bounce back from their play off final defeat. United went close last season and should be capable enough to be involved again. Ched Evans is a shrewd acquisition, he has a bright future ahead of him and can easily bag a hatful of goals this term. Sheffield have got adecent blend of youth and experience. Newcastle and Boro have lost their best players and are both involved in a transition period now. While on the other hand Sheffield United are in a different position as they are building for the future while the other pair are dismantling and counting the cost for previous mistakes. The bottom four can be disregarded really as they are the four favourites for relegation also. 9/2 looks a good price as well considering the next best price is 7/2.

Backing Sheffield United to finish top of the Northern group @ 9/1 with Totesport 3pts.

Interestingly United face Boro tonight.

Yip as it always is, then our national broadcaster states ''the most exciting league in the world'' in their new add for ''The Premiership''...it's not exciting, it's like the hurling at this stage with United been like Kilkenny...... when you compare it to our league WE have the most exciting in the world, where else would a team playing in Europe be fighting relegation(i.e Sligo):D

More bets I did.....................

Y Zhirkov pfa players of the year - 66/1!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Chelsea, man utd, arsenal - in that order - 20/1

Drogba top scorer - 10/1

actually did Boro to be relgated at 33/1 !!!!!!!!!!! (hell i had Leeds, Charlton and Southampton in previous years so maybe............:))

Chopra top scorer 14/1

also did Norwich to be relegated at 28/1, but to be honest was mostly done in spite to annoy my English mate who is a mad Norwich fan

Hereford relegated at 9/1

Gillingham promoted at 14/1

K Miller top scorer at 9/1

the thing with these kind of bets is once they get a new manager then its kind of all over..................I had Blackburn to be relegated last year and it was lookin like a great bet then Big Sam came in and did his usual man behind the ball thing...................so I reckon the Norwich fella will be gone pretty quickly...............new man then means new impetus

I think you're pretty much bang on but Charlton might struggle to finish top purely from a lack of experience at that level, Colchester or Mk Dons look good bets

Just looking back at this, De Town, some seriously impressive tipping from you there. Also bennocelt

My own original picks were somewhat wide of the mark shall we say,England, Real Madrid etc....

Right, this year am combining my money and predictions with a mate, Doing each way acca and ew lucky 31 / lucky 63. If we have a differance of opinion, we'll do a bet each and split the winnings.(Am very confident this year) thinking along the lines of:

From Championship down to League 2 its 1/4 the odds on first three places
Championship:
Forest 15/2 to win, 5/2 to get promoted
Middlesboro 15/2 to win, 23/10 to get promoted

League One
Charlton 12/1 and 7/2
Huddersfield 8/1 and 11/4

League Two
Gillingham 12/1 and 12/5
Torquay 25/1 and 11/2

Conferaance
Luton 7/4
York City 12/1

Would value any opinions and your own fancies.
To

Championship:
