Current (or former?) UCD scholarship player Donal Patterson is to be seen in the latest McDonalds ad.

What does he do in it? I try not to watch ads if possible.

I heard about it by word of mouth, and accidently caught the last ten seconds of it this morning. He's kissing a girl against a wall.

Is that the same as the poster one where she's nicking money out of his back pocket?

I haven't seen the poster, but she did nick a yo-yo or two, yes - presumably something to do with their "Eurosaver" range.

Many fanzine slaggings to be had?

Dónal Patterson was a really small lad who scored in a friednly against Home Farm once (the game where it was lashing rain, not long before we both played Coventry).

Fair dues to him if that is him in the ad - wouldn't mind taking his place!:D :D

You can't really miss the ad John - it's on every second bus shelter around the city! It's also a TV ad.

But yes, much fanzine slagging to be had. In fact, a possible front cover for the first issue of the new season!

I think we had a shot, the keeper saved but it bounced in off someone, who I've always taken to have been Patterson. Can't remember the score - think it was 1-1. It's mentioned in the very first fanzine editorial though (it was Richie Purdy's debut). Patterson played in one of our 5-a-sides too.

How about "Look where a degree in Sports Management can get you!"?
