"Linfield's claim to FIFA for training compensation from Derry City for the player Thomas Stewart has been rejected. The decision was made by a three man panel of the Dispute Resoloution Chamber in Zurich this afternoon."

Good victory for us on this one.....

Can't really remember the ins and outs of this one. Wasn't it that Linfield never offered Stewart a contract so therefore no compensation due?

Hardly a surprise, Linfield never had a case anyway.

No one thought so, but then UEFA referred it to FIFA for guidance.

Two heavy defeats for the Blues today then.

Unlucky....

I hear their lawyer was on summer holidays, and they had an intern making their case.

The cost of a 1st class stamp: 39p

The cost of not sending a contract offer by registered post: priceless ( well €90k)

There are some things money can't buy.

Like seeing the Blues shafted twice in a day ;)
